I know this video might not get views at all, because of youtube algo, but then worth talking about, do share if you found it insightful.
Hey guys in this video I will be talking about why I feel women are under represneted in finance industry, I kept this video in english so that it reaches to a wider audience, please do let me know about your thoughts in the comments section.

I think reason for a women not on those top position is there own families, whenever they start to take more responsibility, there family starts dragging down to make sure that they are actually working towards there family and raising children's.

I think the financial independence is the most important thing for women, since the only reason for any woman to step down from her decision is the lack of opportunities around her. This was really insightful.

If a woman goes after a career, money and ambition she is selfish and the situation gets worse when they become mothers then you are accepted to give up your career, or jungle between two full-time jobs and give priority to your role as a mother. I am always good with my finance as an elder daughter and lost my father at the age of 2 so I was always been independent since a young age, I always talked about finance, investment since young because I love investing and anything entrepreneurial but even me get the comment like focusing on cooking more, I am a money-oriented selfish person and asking for expected for equal property shares if my brother gets it because give it to both or do not give to anyone, girls are usually expected or forced by society to live with in-laws not even separately majority of the in-laws do not care about women career and her ambition but expect to focus more on household things.

I feel the reason here is lack of exposure. I hail from a small village in odisha. Not allowed to go out of Odisha as of now. So here we don't have much exposure. I get to know about many good career opportunities really late and people from Delhi, mumbai and other metro cities, they've already taken the advantage of the opportunity by that time. But thanks to youtube and finladder I'm getting to know about good opportunities these days and I'll some day be in the top level except that I really hope by that time women participation in top levels of finance would be close to 50%. Thanks for covering this topic.

I don’t think exposure is the problem on a general level, but I do completely understand where you’re coming from and more power to you, hope the list helps and hope we achieve 50-50

First of all thank u for uploading the helpful content This will surely help many to start their journey if money is the issue which is inhibiting them to take the first step. Well if we talk about problems that women face to become the part of upper management echelon can be family issue, lack of self confidence, etc If we want to break this pattern we have to be that change. If looking for inspiration we can find it anywhere if not in finance sector as many follows the same principle (not stop learning, be consistent , persistence) It sure will be hard but it will be for a worthwhile experience.

I think as you said initially the ratio is not that bad as we go up the ladder it worsens maybe because as we grow older the family responsibilities are considered as the responsibility of a women (in general sense) and this career involves alot of time and dedication towards it, maybe in the future if family responsibilities are shared properly, this can change.

I think the reason of women not being there in the top positions in finance is the society and the environment itself... and many a times we see fathers and brothers earning and handling money and because of that the thought of entering into finance never sets in.

@@arpitsehgal5832 I think it's not about being "simp". I'll tell you why people nowadays talk about women issues and equality etc. For example there is an economy where there are two resources women and men. Resource 1 men is put to its most efficient use. On the other hand resource 2 women is not utilized up to its full potential therefore the economy does not reach its highest potential. Basic economics.

My question is do women face this under representation because they are not able to perform to their fullest potential, like giving it their 100% due to other family responsibilities or do they just lack the financial aptitude required?
