Nate Safety Tip: keep a hard hat and safety glasses on the tractor. Then wear them! You only get 1 pair of eyes and head bumps, well..we know. So wear the safety gear ( tell him no one will see him!).

Just have to offer my (much relieved) congratulations on your x-ray machine!! What a serendipitous thing, eh? Right out of the blue, and right when you needed that money. It never ceases to amaze me how some things seem to work themselves out all on their own ... or with a little help from Marquand (sp?) Motors! What a terrific thing those folks did.

We have had a hornets nest on our property three of the last four years. My husband’s tried and true method is to put on long pants and a winter jacket and a cowboy hat with a net over it well tucked in, and heavy gloves, then he brings a long torch I make for him (gas or kerosene on rags wired to the end of the pole) and burns it out late evening. Those bald faces hornets are mean suckers. As someone with a perpetually bad ankle, I felt your pain, Nate.

The best spray for wasps, hornets and other flying pests is "Bengal Foaming Wasp & Hornet Killer". It kills on contact and you can shoot the foam in a Jet Spray up to 25 feet away. The big red wasps around my house will dive bomb me if I even walk near their nest and they will build a nest over my front door, garage door, windows and shutters around my house! I have had to spray them in the air as they were coming at me to sting. They fall to the ground dead or within seconds if they walk in the foam on their way into or out of the nest. Get some and you'll see why it's the best. I hope Nates ankle heals quickly.

I love your channel, and I watch every episode! So grateful for the work you do for abused and neglected equines. You all work so hard; and you make it happen where it otherwise wouldn’t be happening. I felt really sad when I saw you two poisoning and killing a hornets’ nest. The toxins are awful for many different creatures in the ecosystem, and the hornets were minding their own business, not hurting anyone until they were attacked. I totally understand the need to keep them separated from riders passing by, because the stings could be extremely dangerous for horses and riders. It’s very important to make that situation safer. A review of the Internet reveals that there are professionals who will relocate them, which seems safer for everyone! I would personally send a donation towards that outcome! 😂 As always sending best wishes and overall gratitude. THRILLED to hear about the x ray machine!!

Poor old Nate. He should be keeping off of that ankle - impossible, I know - hope it’s fine in no time. Such injuries. are often worse than fractures and start giving problems when one is older - hope this doesn’t happen to him. He is such a wonderful gentle giant, always working so hard, such a nice person. He does so much for the Organisation - takes a lot to ruffle his feathers- he‘s just so amiable, awesome! Love all his work preparing and keeping the trail ride tracks free and passable. You would be lost without him - love his passion for the big red monsters lol. That is awesome news about your X-ray Maschine being sponsernd/paid for. That is a real load off of your minds. It‘s going to be a real game changer. What happened with Doc Jim - did he get I’ll or go into pension? I have so often wondered, thinking I had missed something along the way. Your muggy weather must be horrible. I love the way you natural way you film your videos, they are so natural - one feels if one is actually there - beautifully done. I could watch for hours. Poor River, so young and such problems already. Hope he can be helped. Brandy is a Beautiful horse too. It‘s sad people have such beautiful animals and never think of doing anything to help them get trained and socialized in life - simple things like leading - that’s going to take time, but she is already learning and will make someone an awesome forever home at some stage. The work you guys put into everything is amazing. I mean, you all have lives outside of the rescue - you are an awesome group with huge hearts. Love how you go on rides with the horses, it’s great training etc for them. Everything gets done in an relaxed manner, the atmosphere is terrific - great work you all- bless your ❤️ 🫏🐎🦮🚜🔨🪜

G’day Pony Tales Team & Co ;-) Super Congratulations Marcourt Motors for sponsoring the remaining payment on the X-Ray Machine, this will be a massive game changer for many lives Thanks so much 🙏 to be able to view the internals will help with prompt diagnosis and decision making! Perhaps veterinarians will be able to x-Ray outside jobs to bring in an extra income for the organisation too.. Great job keeping up with the hay harvesting, and lean too construction’s. And terrific job constantly training the horses enabling new homes to be found! Kudos Nate I feel for you mate, I’m laid up after fighting with blackberry and hyper-extending my knee..again.. Get we’ll soon, remember your mineral’s, the older one gets the more minerals we all need, critters too.. If a horse /critter is grazing on a freshly spread super phosphate paddocks this causes calcium leakage from the bones and a myriad of other issues.. Feel like the beautiful Belgian is at the right place right timing, hopefully all horses have a mineral block to free graze on to save the fencing..lol Between segments could you put in a brief advertisement for horses/critters available for adoption? With many source blessings with truth clarity love light laughter happiness joy fun play creativity adventures abundance wisdom wealth and may peace be with you all! Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 xox

26:44 I bet if they had the xray system already they would have tried it out on Nate....but glad he got some advice and was willing to use the crutch. Need to strap him down and elevate it for a few days. Next time buy two cans of wasp spray, the investment is worth it. It wouldn't have changed this, but two is good, one for tomorrow and some for the house.

I really enjoy seeing what you do there. Hope more are able to use the surrender/adoption programme and save more equines from the auctions and kill buyers. Wonderful about your xray machine, it's been a great diagnostic tool for you. Kudos to your sponsor! Nate reminds me a lot of family and friends (marine engineers, engineers, heavy duty mechanics, farmers, etc.) His "method" of dealing with the wasp nest is also very like theirs as well. Can't tell them so they have to figure out on their own.😂 The issue about health care boggles me about the US, hope to see you join the rest of the world soon. I've cut across the north oart of Michigan/Wisconsin/Minnesota coming back to the BC coast from friends' farms in southern Ontario. You have a very pretty state so nice to see more of it.

Man, it sucks not having insurance. I let too many injuries go untended because I was afraid of bankrupting myself. Now I'm disabled after one final fall where I cracked my already bad knee. Not sure, but I think I actually fractured the knee cap and damaged the vein that runs over the top of it, so now I have poor circulation in my right leg. It took months to heal. That was the one that officially disabled me. I could possibly get a knee replacement that would fix things, but again... the money for recovery stops me from doing so. It's not easy living without insurance, but what can you do if you just can't afford it? I'm retired now so I finally have Medicare, which covers a lot of my needs, but not all. With Nate's job and the risks he faces of serious injury (wasps notwithstanding, haha), you may want to consider getting him on some sort of insurance before something more serious happens. Take it easy Nate, heal well.

Nate....the REAL MAN! Acts b4 he thinks. Just TACKLE & be done w/it! SMH Too bad he doesn't have a reusable boot that they use for casts nowadays. Put it in then use air to stabilize. I've reused mine several times. As my Dr told me a sprain can be as bad as a break & take just as long to heal. & I pulled my foot out of socket once. I was told that was worse than a break . They actually knocked me out, then I was in hospital for 3 days. When i pulled my pinky out of socket, I popped it back in, but had shattered bones around it. That might be same for foot, not sure. Stallions should be kept in a 6 foot high fence. I think it's a Saddlebred Stallion? It would be a shame for him to get at a mare. I think it would be wise to put him in a pen away from mares? Ya think? Cuz when they come in Estrus he looks like he'd go nuts and he's tall enough to probably jump a fence or crazy enough to run through one? He makes me nervous! 😬 Also, some mares will stand in front of them and tempt them!! Real Hussys Lol. I had a Proud cut Mustang and the mares would do that & also to my former Stallion!
