Lol, yep. I was a skinny, shy, insecure nerd all through school, watching the girls falling for strong, confident guys who hit the gym. Finally, I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and become one of those guys. I hit the gym, took improv classes and went out, forcing myself to talk with people until eventually, many years and thousands of hours later, I not only had a physique that drew double takes and stares wherever I went, but had become an outgoing, confident, charismatic guy who could approach and get along with almost anyone. And...I still got rejection and disinterest from any girl that I was interested in, and many that I wasn't interested in. I couldn't understand it and kept trying for a long time. Finally, I just accepted that my lot in life is to have put in the time and energy to have completely reinvented myself into a guy who looks like he's auditioning for the next Baywatch film, with the presence and confidence to back it up, yet somehow still get nothing but turned down. At this point, it's just funny to me and the sheer hilarity of having 6 pack abs and looking like an upside down Dorito, while being fun, funny and playful, yet getting treated the same as I did back then, is just hilarious to me. Of course, everyday on the way to the gym I pray to get T-boned by a semi-truck.

Sure you'll get money and confidence, but that won't matter when women don't find you sexually attractive. Working up and being over 6ft can help, but that's not going to bring you from a 5 to an 8. Maybe 5 to 6, but your upper limit is your face. Working out and losing body fat can help define and shape your face, but it won't help for guys who have say recessed chins, poor jawline structure, no jawline or weakly formed jawlines. Working out and getting a good body and having good height will only get you attractive women if your face is at least average looking like a 5/10. If you're below that, you can get surgery or find natural remedies for whatever facial flaws you have. I for instance don't have a strong chin but it is not a recessed chin, just kinda weak looking, I let my facial hair grow only around my chin to cover it up, but shaved my sideburns because I have a good jawline to show my attractive features, and try to hide my unattractive features. That can help you as well.

I had a few very close friends that friendzoned me(I heard through the grape vine and one confirmed directly that she didn't reciprocate the same feelings for me). I had to create distance and not hang with them after being like the "mayor" of the group.
