Instead of shopping for frames and then entering my prescription, only to be repeatedly told it's not compatible, how about make it where you enter your prescription first, then populate the compatible frames to choose from?? Would that be too hard for your website devopers? This is why I've gone 40 years without glasses. They simply can't make glasses to correcty vision.

Thank you for ACTUALLY showing the Rudy Project glasses. I did NOT know something like that existed.

Oakley straightlinks!! Can hold up anywhere from a +7.00 to -6.00 prescription. I have a pair of Rx Oakley straightlinks with Prizm trail lenses for mountain biking and they are fantastic, couldnt be happier with them. My prescription is -5.25 with my astigmatism which limits my frame options significantly however these frames offer the maximum amount of wrap around (base 8 or 10) for high prescription lenses which is what I was looking for. Also with oakleys lense tech they are able to tweak your prescription in such a way such that there is no lense distortion and I am able to see perfectly with no fish eye effect even with my high prescription and wrap around style lense. Oakley FTW!

Thank you so much for sharing! We're glad they're working out well for you! As for that prescription range - if you want authentic Oakley lenses, then they can only go as strong as a +4.00 / -6.00. Oakley's OTD Edge 2.0 (extended/high prescription tech) lenses are amazingly impressive! If you are ever looking for some other options that will work, especially as your prescription gets stronger, you can always reach out to our very knowledgeable opticians at 888-831-5817 or via email at info@sportrx.com

I have Infernousa frames. Can I send them to you to get lenses? They are wraps. My prescription is strong -6.25 and -5.5.

Very interesting, as this summarizes the whole thing about prescription lenses and wrap frame needs. I have a strong prescription with a prism factor, that my health care provider won't fill in anything resembling a wrap. On the other hand, I am currently utilizing a mail order company, that was able to fill an Oakley Haylon and Oakley Crosslink Sweep, with both ending up without the fishbowl effect. Will consider SportRx as an alternative, thank you for the video.

Hi. I have prescription glasses. Is there a clip on wrap around lens I can use for clay target shooting over my prescription glasses ?

We do not offer any generic clip-ons for your existing glasses, but we have many options that would likely work great in your prescription! Check us out at www.sportrx.com

If I have a 3.50cyl power in my prescription can I get wrap around sunglasses?
@sportrxeyewear4 жыл бұрын
That's a great question! That amount of astigmatism can definitely limit your options, but that is not to say that we don't have some incredible frames that can work for you. Please reach out to our opticians for some specific recommendations at 888-831-5817 or via email at info@sportrx.com

I ordered prescription flak jacket 2.0 xl for my son for baseball. We received them today and he can not see well out of them. He’s having difficulty describing what the issue is... blurry, distorted or fish bowl. But he’s definitely not seeing how he’s used to. Here’s rx +4.00 sphere _ -2.25 Cyl 055 axis +2.00 sphere -2.50 Cyl Axis 105. Thoughts?

That is a fairly strong prescription. It is right on the edge of Oakley's parameters. If he's never worn wrapped lenses in his prescription before, they could just take some getting used to. In some cases, people are not able to adapt to the inherent distortion in wrapped, prescription lenses. I would recommend giving it a week or two with him giving them a fair shake. If they end up not working, you're not stuck with them! Just give our opticians a call and we'll help you out!

Been making glasses for over 200 years.......but we still can’t get a pair of oakley wraps for the boy. 😔

Generally If I'm wearing a pair of sport frames (EX oakley Jawbreakers or Oakley Radars) I would use contact lenses for the frames.
@sportrxeyewear3 жыл бұрын
Not exactly! It really depends on your prescription. The flatter the frame the higher the Rx can be. We always recommend Prescription lenses over contacts.
@jackesioto Жыл бұрын
Of course it may be possible to get higher prescriptions in wraparound frames that are less curved.

Great info. Thanks I have 20/600 vision and have a feeling a wrapped type of frame wouldn't work. Hate wearing contacts at my age but love my wrap arounds
@sportrxeyewear2 жыл бұрын
Hey Snap! Depending on the specifics of your prescription, there's a good chance that you can still have wraparound frames with Rx lenses! Give us a call or send your prescription information to info@sportrx.com and one of our opticians will assist in customizing a pair that's right for you!
