I love this dynamic between the monastics and children. These are my kinds of questions. your answers are so deeply articulated and are funny against the simplicity of the children's questions! Couldn't have planned it better!

"We don't worship the Buddha, we remember him." Good answer! "Work out your own salvation with diligence." The Buddha's wise last words to be remembered.

Please accept flowers for such an insightful group of answers!! Br. Treasure you have reached into my heart to help me understand my anger and sadness at the way humans continue to wreak havoc on themselves and all of creation…you opened my eyes to the fact that we are new compared to plants animals and minerals. We are the youngsters with so much evolution ahead of us. You remind me to be a healthy cell to add to the stream of life! What an incentive to continue the practice despite the difficulties.❤

Buddha didn't want or asked to be worshipped. The only one worthy of worship is GOD!

Hello, i hope you're well. I believe it would be helpful to highlight the fact that the title of this video is referencing a question asked by a young child at the beginning of the Talk. Since buddhism is often considered one of the most followed spiritual belief systems in the world, it is easy to understand how a young child could compare it to other theistic belief systems, and assume that buddhists "worship" the Buddha. Here [12:15] they explain very simply how the Buddha is often considered by many in the practice. Much respect to you 😊

@@fingerprint5511 No I never met the Buddha personally. But I have read what he said: "Do not go by oral tradition, by lineage of teaching, by hearsay, by a collection of scriptures, by logical reasoning, by inferential reasoning, by reflection on reasons, by the acceptance of a view after pondering it, by the seeming competence of a speaker, or because you think, "the ascetic is our teacher." -Buddha
