S&P showed an easy way to take the cloth off of a patio umbrella - just unscrew the top and pull the ends off, cloth goes in trash, metal pole goes in scrap pile

I used to trash dive on bulk day in the major metro city I live in and found untold amounts of incredible stuff. (Antiques, chess boards and pieces, baseball gloves, bicycles, gold jewelry, Gucci sunglasses, high end toys, scuba gear, brand new clothing, electronics and much more) I did have a method that worked like a charm. I would tip the doormen to let me know in advance when the "good" stuff was being brought to the curb. It got to where they would hold things for me in the basements knowing I was coming to get stuff. (Bigger tips obviously) It helped that it was a very expensive neighborhood with strict waste management rules. I sold one piece (a book case from the 1800's) to a dealer for $3,700. Incredible what people will discard.

The easel may also be a travel art supply holder so you can take it to the seaside and paint the ocean. This was a GREAT video, Taco. I was so excited when I saw it was 27 minutes. Woohoo!

Lots of times lawnmowers are discarded just because they need carburetor service.

Umbrellas are usually aluminum and you can easily unscrew the top to remove the material! Just in case you didn’t know that. 👍🏻 I’m liking your channel.

Always fun to watch you scrap and the comments you make are hilarious! I have never seen so many things in the trash. You only see that amount of garbage curbside around here is when people get evicted and their belongings are put in the street. I guess most people around here take clean out hauls to the local charities.

The first tin thing (I am sorry, English is not my mother language) at 10.23 is probely an old one. It is easy to learn about these things. Old tin things often has the name of a company on the buttom. And the print is sometimes in layers and sometimes in different hights. Othetwise there are tinmuseums (the Netherlands, Deventer) People can ask them about tins.

If that's a vintage French Grumbacher easel it could have a decent resale value depending on which easel it is. Best to reseach before underselling. Hate to see you sell a several hundred dollar easel for $20. Could be of lesser value, really depends on model.

I think 90 % of the window air conditioners people throw away are just dirty from not cleaning each season . Cleaning filters is only the 1st step to cleaning , the aluminum fins should be carefully cleaned before putting away for the season.

Greetings from Death Valley. I have been working with a road replacement crew for a week. I have no idea how they can handle the heat 6 days a week 10 hours a day. Mad respect is right.

I did that for 6 years. Yes, it is hot but you can walk away from the machine and it isn't as hot. You also get used to the heat after awhile. After being out of it for awhile now there is no way I can work in the heat. It could be that I am older now, 69.

That’s a nearly new, lightly used mower. No carbon buildup on the muffler even. I’ve scored some great stuff in the free piles on a curb here and there around town.

It's a French easel for painting outdoors. If it's a Grunbacher, it's pretty good. Some are knockoffs. Might have paints and brushes inside. Great video!

Once I saw in Victoria magazine where someone had bought a very ornate porcelain chamber pot, also thought it was a vegetable dish. She made the comment that her vegetable bowl had only one handle. I laughed so hard I cried!! She obviously was unaware.!

You should be more careful on how you throw some of those items in the truck, the valuables are gonna get all scratched up and will devalue. A little more TLC would be a good thing :-) Great video that easel was a great find

People ditch the A/C/de*humidifiers/ air purifiers because it probably gets an error code that they don't want to deal with (lime scale/clean filter) etc. or they find out replacement filters are more expensive than they want to pay. I'd rather keep it out of the landfill.
