This issue is alot deeper, there are partners who will break the trust and hurt the other partner so bad, (could be infidelity or terrible character behavior) with no sense of remorse, in such a case, I will go the whole lenght to get back what i have given such a partner, (marriage or dating) not because I need those gifts back, NO, but its a way to revenge and get even for the hurt the partner has caused me.....for me, thats fair n square.

My maternal grandpa dated a woman for so long they were supposed to get married. Somehow they broke up and dhe married someone else. Years later whilst rearranging; we saw a letter my grwndpa wrote to her asking for all he got her while they were a couple. ..... She returned them to him with the later. I was in shock!

But who is the legal owner of the gift? I think that's the fundamental question. If Oga bought you an item in your name, regardless of the cost of the item, regardless of what happens (whether you cheated or not, whether you're no longer together, etc), the item belongs to you.

I find it really weird as well . If i give you a gift I’m giving it wholeheartedly. No situation or circumstance would make me want it back thats why I don’t give more than i can let go .
