Definitely hope that they target the micro CCs quite a bit more. Coming back to retail after really only doing classic pvp since TBC came out, micro cc was the number one thing that stuck out to me. felt like im constantly getting chipped and dinged by annoying little things. Randomly getting knocked this way, gripped back another. rooted 3 times in a row for .5 seconds. Its like half the classes have a whirl wind surrounding them of little hands that flick you in the nose.

I play mainly pvp but i gotta be honest, catering to pvp players is probably one of the biggest mistakes ever. Every pvp person started leveling, doing pve, why? Cuz before pvp even existed that was the game. A pve game where you would fight the opposite faction for resources etc, like it was back in vanilla. Then a group of pvpers became louder that they didnt want to do pve, and its when the shitshow started. This is primarily pve game with pvp interactions, now has lost its path since then and is a fuckshow.

After MoP they simply sayed fk u pvpers and in legion with the template system and mythic+ they killed PVP, i think they gave up after that.

I think it's good for the health of PvP, if they design the game for those who we call "casuals". Those who spam BGs. Whose goals aren't to get a glad mount every season, or even the elite appearance. Those who seek to grind their conquest gear at 1200-1500 rating, and then spam BGs, getting joy out of the scoreboard and killing our alts that have no gear yet. Why? Because those players are the ones who will keep the scene alive, populate the ladder, and provide reasons for devs to even care about PvP. If it's just us dying dinosaurs who have sat over 2400 rating for 10 years, and the so called casuals are ignored, they quit. And 95% of the PvP playerbase quitting, is very bad. So it's good that we have BG blitz where those players can go gear up and chase their modest goals. After all, almost every arena addict is born out of a BG hero who got bored at BGs and realized he accidentally got somewhat good after so many seasons of grinding conquest gear. This ofc does not mean, that blizzard has to listen to trash takes from bad players and fill their wishes. Those "casuals" might be crying about gear being too hard to grind, but if Blizzard pulls a legion gearing system, they quit because now they have nothing to progress. And they aren't "pwning noobs" anymore as they can't get a gear advantage, so they quit. They have to design the game to be engaging and rewarding for new players and casuals. Not to cater to their immediate desires or class balance wishes.

To me as a solo player, the most annoying thing is the gear gate on raids or ratings, because that means I need other players to get gear, and that removes the point of playing the game-to relax and get away from the stress and everyday life... The moment I can't get gear because I don't have a good group, I go play something else... Spending a huge time finding a guild/team and dealing with the drama is something I will never do again in a game...

Its what I've been saying, this is exactly why Overwatch fell so hard, Blizzard tried so hard to make a game that only catered to minuscule faction of players, E-sport players. Trying to placate these people is the most insane option to take.

It went to shit the moment they released a hero that my great grandma could play which annihilated the most skilful heroes in the game. Then it kept going downhill for similar reasons. They made healing OP because bad healers couldn't heal (the same thing they have done to WoW), made tanks absurdly broken and nerfed DPS to the ground to the point where teams were playing with 3 tanks and 3 supports. Let's not re-write history shall we?

Well i feel like that everything you just mention in the bad is a good point for BG players. Arena is a huge learning curve and i feel like BG blitz will bring a lot of new players because of how close it is to pve than shuffle or arena.

Arena is ridiculous in wow now, every class can summon a plethora of pets, melees like ret can do damage 50 percent of my HP before even getting to me. Not playable without addons. Wow is killing its PvP base

I’m worried about the matches becoming deep dampening this expansion. Any PvP season that regularly goes into deep dampening is a snooze fest in my book. 10 minute arena matches are exhausting and draining, adds significantly to burn out when the matches regularly go into heavy dampening.

Im not gonna give my input until all have tiersets but so far it feels slower which i guess isnt a bad thing but certainly wont be fun to watch in later tournaments. I remember in Shadowlands during tourneys teams literally sat at pilar until Dampening ramped up because there was no point in playing before that since nobody died. I would not like to go back to that so i hope they dont get too crazy with the nerfs.

There is no saving the old form of pvp in modern wow.. The only solution is with these classic versions coming out, to form some combo of wrath/cata/mop and break that out into its own game, probably f2p then if its good enough they could use it to market more players into trying retail pve

I finally quit a few months ago but ive been keeping an eye on tww to see if it was worth it for me.. however like you guys said its basically dragonflightv2 with some quality of life updates and more talents(mostly passives, proc modifiers and aoe/cleave abilities) with that said im atleast glad ive come to realize I havent enjoyed the direction of the game especially pvp for 4-5 xpacs and that its not worth it for me to keep hoping things will get better when ive had this long to see otherwise.

I never understood the "button bloat" or complexity issues a lot of the pvp players seem to have I mean it sounds ABSURD for a mage or a shaman in the warcraft universe to only be able to cast like 5 spells. If you don't want "button bloat" there's league you got your 4 or so spells and thats it. Personally the big amount of tools and things the classes can do feeds into the fantasy mastering a complex pvp system makes it all that much rewarding at the end of the day

There are too many spells and effects flying around at any given moment. People can’t read their combat situation. It’s insanely annoying. Not to mention the amount of binds run low on some classes. I think most would like 20-30 abilities per class.

And that's precisely why people are abandoning WoW pvp and moving on to League, or other games. It's crazy how 4-6 spells are enough to create a complex, competitive game that millions of players can enjoy, while WoW pvp is dead.
