Great stuff! Something I always do with MDF templates is to paint the edges with 50% Titebond, 50% water. I let it dry somewhere warm, and that keeps seasonal moisture changes from spreading the edges of your nice template sets.

I too learned the hard way. After you ruin a template you never again work off the original. Lol.

I find a wide tipped Magic Markers works best vs a pencil. Then cut to outside of mark, rout the rest
