Really resonating with 6:36 - I'm currently planning a 2 year celebration for my time on Twitch and I've specifically steered from calling it a "subathon" and am trying to build in free ways to keep the clock running so that people aren't feeling pressured to spend money to participate in the fun. Definitely key to look after the people that are hanging out with you every stream!

I needed this. My numbers are all over the place just now and it took me so long to get to my average, it can be disheartening to see but I know I'm doing what I can to make my channel fun for my community!

The sink part due to laziness is my issue. I been lazy because ive been sick and the last 2 months i still am not ok. I took a week off, im editing a video and im still not ok. I think some of us struggle with health issues that really hurt us. 😕

Good stuff. Looking at the big picture is something I see many streamers having a hard time with. Being focused on numbers for one stream or some other small period of time rather than backing up so you can see how you're still trending up (hopefully) overall. I'm even guilty of this from time to time. It's also important like you said to remember that some people don't have the expendable cash right now for as many frivolous things. The important thing to remember is to focus on things you can control. Question tho, if I may... I'm curious because I never see any of these videos from you or other creators say when someone might just have to face it that content creation might just not be their thing. Is there a point where one might need to look in the mirror and say "maybe I'm just not cut out for this"? It seems like most tip videos, if not all, are simply content to be encouraging and positive telling folks to "keep at it, keep grinding" when the reality is that most people won't make it as a content creator for a full-time job.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I can't give you a definitive answer to your question! This time does come for some people for sure, but it is different for a lot of people. I would say, that if something is causing you more stress/worry than it is good times, it might be time to have that conversation with yourself. I think positivity can be a good thing because mindset is important but also, sometimes content isnt for everyone!

Dan this is a truly exceptional video! Why? because it speaks to how every content creator can feel and probably feeling right now, myself included! Every now and then we just need to give our head a good shake and this video helps to re-focus our efforts again! I think the key point here is that no-one is failing they just need to steer the ship another way to get to where they want to go!

I just stopped caring about the numbers a long time ago. Have a niche channel in a oversaturated category. I just have fun and do what I want now. So have gone from 10-20 viewers to 5-10 and tbh more happier than ever.

Ohh, I don't mean this as a replacement. I've hired designers multiple times in the past:) This is just a handy alternative for those who may not be able to afford hiring a designer themselves or wants to try do it themselves and lack the skillset:)

One of the huge mistakes streamers do is to run more than 3 to 4 ads for those who don’t sub. Some of them run up to 10 ads. What they don’t understand is that no other streaming service runs that many ads. I rarely watch twitch anymore because it is pure greed to run 10 ads. When I watched TV there were only a few ads and then the program resumed. I have lost interest in Twitch and so will many others. Kick is the new twitch.
@xTwoShoes5 ай бұрын
10 ads is wild! I haven’t seen that personally but it seems a lot. Not much of a kick fan but interested to see where it goes!
