SMB produces several teachable videos that clearly explain trades and the mindset needed to be successful. I trade my own stock portfolio and have become increasingly interested in branching out into options. I am fairly new to options (less than 1 year) but slowly, trades are becoming easier to understand, of course with my own trial and error and using those experiences to uncover the best way that fits my lifestyle and personality. I found this young trader, Ryan, to be genuine in his explanation, almost bearing his soul in the process. I am 66 and it was refreshing to see a young man with the passion and focus to want to continually improve by admitting faults or mistakes and using them to move it positively forward. Commendable. Nice job!

I enjoy your videos more than any others from SMB, although they are all great. :) Great job, Ryan! Can we do a video just focusing on the entire top down process of charting technical levels against volume profile? Would be good to see your thought process moving across multiple time frames and different volume profiles while planning the trade.

Wonderful video.... Thank you for sharing so many insights... MANY pearls of wisdom in this video.... (I wish that all of this was around when I was a teenager, learning about trading...) It's great to hear that there is so much collaboration and a strong support system in SMB.... (Sadly, this industry seems to have attracted many marketeers, sales-people, non-professional people/companies... their adverts seem to pop up constantly!!!) Please keep posting more of these informative videos. Thank you.

Man! Thanks a lot Ryan! Every time i see one of your videos/trade recaps I feel like I learn soo much. I was down because I fucking traded ATVI this week instead of sticking to what I feel my edge was-and what I’ve learned from you and SMB: High Beta and High Rvol stocks over $50. (I feel) Was trying to scalp options on a 2nd day play on ATVI but the spread on the ask placed me .35 cents per contract behind on my core entry. I go back to SMB videos to get help and this really helped a lot because sometimes I get trading ADHD. Thanks a lot for this video. We needed it.

Ryan what a moment for me as you said you use the session volume profile from the big context to get turning points and so on ...Im a junior at Heldental europe b.v and i call it the market place theorie...when the market trends down you want to have HVN´s marked from where price is most likely to reverse. I also use the vwap standard derivation to measure the probability ..when we are at the second standard derivation and touched vwap earlier that day ( which indicates that we re not having a huge trend day ) it is likly that we move back to vwap again that day. With the HVN in place , the second standard derivation , and the orderbook the strategy can lead up to 65%. With huge moves back to vwap ...i also noticed that if we enter the whole numbers ..if a 1 min candle closes below .80 of that whole number ..the stock is likly to go down further ..if we dont and no candle closes under the .80 area of that whole number ..chances increase to get that "reversal"

Good video. Reminds me of what another very successful trader said. When he stopped trading consolidation, that's when he started finding success. Focusing on the more obvious levels on these high relative volume stocks is a good way to avoid getting trapped in a long period of consolidation when you're expecting a directional move.

Hi Ryan. I have a question for you. I’ve heard you saying in the past that you used TOS for charting. I wonder whether you look at R-vol directly on TOS or in different platform? I use a study in TOS for R-vol, but I’m not quite sure whether is exactly the one Bella refers to in his books. As far as I understand, the R-vol he refers to measures the ticker volume of day compared to previous days, but also takes the time of day into account, being the premarket and first hour of day the most important, correct? The one I have does not ta’r into account time of day. Also, should you use TOS for it, would you be so kind to share it? Thanks a lot your videos have helped me to get consistency in my trading.

Great idea to use the histogram to set levels along with lines and trade off of it! Very educational clip. One question: You mentioned that you didnt thing the those who were longing throughout the day were "diamond hands" what made you come to that belief?
@TheCrazyCartModChannel3 жыл бұрын
I know you asked this a long time ago, and you were asking him, but I have a response. I think that most weren't diamond hands because most of the volume may have been Reddit retailers. Most people are average and won't hold even if they intend to. Fear is stronger than greed and I think he was banking on those people selling when it started collapsing.
@kimmugen33 жыл бұрын
Ah instant solutions/angles to add to my playbook. Volume on charts where the key levels for the day is something I just added myself. Theres some nice add-on indicators that can heatmap the volume levels in ranges (strong green is super heavy RVol for example). Can identify when volume is building up and then when it hits a "supernova kinda" green, I'm shoving in full size on the breakouts. This video definitely aligns with that. If I could add your tape reading skills too, that would be insane.

How about two setups this morning on $LAZR & $USFD. Both consolidating very neatly just beneath VWAP after putting in a full ATR up move 's the prior day. $LAZR in uptrend from $19 and against final resistance level in double top $USFD the exact opposite,, in a multi day move move down from a top of $41, holding $37 and testing key prior support levels, $Tick from yesterday saw a range in the +/- 300 Levels..mmmmm, covering? The $TRIN was a high of 1.96 on open and progressively fell throughout the session to a low of 1.07. $Vix felll from 22.2 in pre market to 18.8 on close. Banks and energy traded lower, though some large cap tech saw moves up & some small caps saw big moves.? I think I'm seeing dip and rip setups...
