If I might mix a gaming metaphor, in DBD facecamping and tunnelling are strategies that CAN be used by the killer, but the game balance has, over time, been tweaked so that they're not as beneficial to pursuing the killer's ultimate interests (4K, maxing BPs) as using more varied techniques, builds, etc. Deceive Inc. is just in the beginning phases where the emergent strategies are becoming known, and they're figuring out how to rebalance parts of the game to make it so there's not a sole dominant strategy for victory. It's early days for carrot and stick development, is all.

Sadly, those tweaks barely did anything, tunneling and camping still are the easiest and strongest strategies and are one of DBD's biggest flaws because of how unfair and unfun they feel for the other side

I’ve been having a lot of fun even when I don’t win a lot of games. Started trying out Squire today out of 50 something fun hours of maining Madame Xiu and it’s so satisfying to be able to feel more confident when I initiate fights with people. It is weird not having that expertise to let me escape situations easily, but I like the switch up in my play style currently. Yeah I still have those games where I die quickly because someone saw me rush towards intel or I fight someone and get 3rd partied, but I usually make up for that games later where I rack up kills, get upgrades, or just manage to come out on top by winning I usually always try to go for the package instead of letting others do it for me so I have the advantage of seeing where they are (even though I’ve had times where I panicked and made the wrong moves which resulted in me dying lol). I’ve been playing this a lot and I can’t wait to see how it changes overtime

Dowsey is one of those creators. I tried to watch his gameplay, but it's a bit annoying seeing him run and jump everywhere cause he knows he can get away with it. Yeah the game has its own issues and doesn't really punish that but still..

This is COPIUM at his finest. Been amongst the top 50 mc Cree players on OW for years, currently champion on r6, my mechanics are great and I prolly got a winning rate of over 75% on Deceive Inc and I still think that the fast pace and run and gun style completly fucks the fun of the game up precisely because it turns a very refreshing game into a generic shooter which gunplay isn’t even that good if that’s all there is to it, so I don’t wanna hear shit about me being mad about losing I’m prolly better at FPS then 90% of the player base. Poeple just don’t wanna see a subtle refreshing game with mechanics revolving around being deceiving and patient into a quick death match ignoring everything that makes Deceive Inc it’s own game.

By the way, I've bern having a TON of fun with the game. My only gripes being a few major bugs like not being able to click stuff on screen as well as matchmaking not working sometimes, and balance. Squire's pistol is f*cking worthless, kek

@@GeefYT Squire's Tier 1 pistol feels absolutely useless as you need to hit at least 8-10 shots in order to eliminate anyone. Missing any more shots often means you're screwed. I unlocked his Tier 2 3 round burst weapon in which each pellet does 9 damage. Landing all 3 equates to 27 damage and I've found it more reliable for securing elims. I personally haven't gotten his tier 3 but from what I've noticed, (Hans' shotgun hand excluded) most single shot weapons are pitiful against automatic weaponry (fuck Madame Xiu, for real) Sorry for the rant

​​@@AntiR2525is tier 3 is busted af because it's barely slower than t1 but kills in 5-6 hits assuming you don't hit headshots. Hitting a single headshot does 40 dmg, enough to make it a 4-shot kill on anyone with no health buff. Edit: Also, Chavez's t2 weapon is one of the best in the game as it does slightly more damage than squire's but fires slightly faster. It wrecks health bars, especially while Chavez takes almost zero damage with his 2nd expertise and 3rd passive
