Sir I started my preparation from July 2024, and till now just completed Geo and Eco. I am planning to start the polity and history in the upcoming months. Will you still suggest to shift preparation to Mains or should I continue to cover up the basics?

@@debjyotidatta5973 It will take time dude, stop giving urself a false motivation. You can't crack it in 2025, but 2026 only. It took me 1 year to develop a comprehensive understanding of UPSC syllabus, its topics and all the subjects. If you are only done with the basics, you can't crack mains, cuz it's a different game. You have to relate the static main portion with contemporary issues that you read in newspapers which demand analytical skills. Prelims is all bout aptitude that's why keep your strategy mains oriented for 4-5 months, then only you can ensure your selection in 2025 else try for 2026.

Can I aim for UPSC 2025 or should I plan for 2026? Please help I am really confused. There are many videos on how to crack it in 4 months. But I am unable to understand if it is humanely possible or not. Please anyone answer

@@NishaKrishnamurthy Not possible in 2025 bro, cuz by now, you should've done with at least the basics of your optional which is a vast expanse of ocean. Aim for 2026 else you will be really stressed and depressed throughout the year.

@@NishaKrishnamurthy Those videos are unreliable and can't be trusted, cuz mains answer writing is an art which needs content and a holistic understanding of all the subjects. You can't write mains after preparing only for 3 months let alone the optional
