Not to mention, most cases of diarrhea or vomiting are caused by the enterotoxins that the bacteria produced, not the bacteria themselves.

Thank you for this info! I'm surprised that there aren't enough to see.

Dang! That's spoiled my microscopy plans today 😂 I've just collected samples from my birds drinking water right before changing it for fresh water. You're telling me in addition to the minefield that is learning to use the scope... I now I have to learn how to grow colonies to further my flock health monitoring plans. This just gets more complicated every day haha. Well off to buy some agar filled dishes I go then.

Hello greetings from Knoxville Tennessee! Thank you for the quick follow up video to clarify this topic. Where can I learn more about the steps to test and identify food samples or is it a very complicated process? I have a customer that is a food research analysis lab and I get chance to get a behind the scenes peek at this facility and I am amazed with the poster sized pictures that are displayed in the lobby area of several different microbes it's mind blowing ! The next time I go there I will ask them if I can take pictures of the display posters and share them with you. Unfortunately I can't disclose any information/name of the research lab for security reasons. Thank you again!

What is a "bacterial lens", would it require a special microscope, and I don't have my first microscope yet, thank you

Aren't strains of bacteria identified by staining?
@Microbehunter5 ай бұрын
Strains are different groups within a species. Often different strains of the same species stain the same way. Staining is very unspecific.
