In today's video I want to show you how you should play solo q and win with bad teammates. most of you blame your teammates when in fact, you are not really helping. so here are some mistakes you should avoid making and also correct ways to play in rainbow six siege. After I got plat, the game seems to say "Oh no you dont" so now I constantly get matched with trolls, like actual trolls that tk with c4, people who disconnect and reconnect, toxic players that shout in the mics (this is ok because we have mute button) but still, and this is 80% of games, so I guess I just had enough of this rank 2.0. Oh and 40% of games there is some diamond or champ in the enemy team that destroys everyone, yep, fair game, I just miss the old rank, like if I'm gold, I wanna play against gold, not against emerald, diamonds or champs....only bc they queued with their copper friends and the game tries to balance it out.

I often find myself being too passive. Also in some maps that have default breaches, my teams seems to get stuck and spend like 1:30 minutes thinking what to do outside

I solo or duo Q mainly. Me and my duo joke we are "the ideal siege players". We always put pre-placed, always set up site, pick ops that we see need to be picked to fulfill a need, we anchor if teammates are all of site, or we hold power positions that need to be held to win, we take map control off droning, we take breach and breach denial very often, we dont bait but rather try to get plants down, we are disciplined and dont feed when we are up. We want to win bad. However this does not seem to translate to ranking up. I'm not sure if this is Ranked 2.0 or not. Since I started playing again around Commanding Force after last playing in Burnt Horizon, I'm hard stuck emerald, but with over a 50% win rate and averaging about a 1.15/1.2 KD. It genuinely feels like every season I fly up to emerald and then instantly the game rebounds and matchmakes me into losses all while manipulating my elo gains and losses. Last season there was a stretch where I was requiring 5 won games in a row just to go up a single rank, all while having a 1.1 WL. It's like the game refuses to let me rank up. Another thing is we always match champ squads even though we've never even been diamond. Gameplay-wise it all just feels random. Seems like no matter what, nothing changes outcome. We've experimented so much with different playstyles to try to match the current meta and it all leads to the same Win/Loss. Some games I spend the entire game making a point to open breaches or hold power positions just to get no help and get pushed by team utility and killed and go horrifically negative, so another game I'll try to just pay attention to my teammates and play next to them and then we lose to the enemy team taking the power positions they need instantly and being left in unwinnable situations, or I die to a flanker aiming to catch my teammates while trying to go assist my teammates and also go horrifically negative that way. Other games, everything works: I clutch, I catch every flank, we open wall easily and plant, etc and my KD is very postive. But the Win/Loss never changes no matter what. It always even out, for like 7 seasons in a row now. Idk what to even do at this point. It feels completely random. We joke about our 4/5 rule, which is that we cant expect to win a round unless me and my duo kill 4 of 5 ourselves, but that just isnt feasible.

Super relatable. I often solo q because I don’t know anybody my skill. I’m high diamond on console, yet to hit champ. It seems I get 2 or 3 picks some rounds and I die to something out of my control and my teammates get nothing done. 99% of rounds im doing my part, but I just can’t win games. Some games I go negative after getting spawn peeked by something I’ve never seen before, or getting double swung or wall banged.

You are 100% right but i think what you guys might be missing is being consistent against champs(gunwise or strategy) Also leading the team you two together which means coming up with easy and fast strategies to outplay these champs. As someone who duo q all the time, I completely understand how hard it is to rank up with matchmaking but you gotta try really hard every game

I wish ranking wasn’t based on wins and losses, and it was based mostly on individual performance. If I solo queue and get matched with really bad teammates, and really good enemies, then I don’t think losing that match should deplete my elo

But there isn’t a good way to quantify individual performance - wins/losses is actually the best way. If I sit outside and bait my teammates every single round and do weird rat strats on defense - I can drop double digits every single game, but I’m not going to win any of them. versus if I play thatcher/thermite and get the wall open - smoke off angles and facilitate a plant going off but don’t get any kills, I’ve done wayyy more to help the team win the round.

Such a good video. I find myself playing too aggressively and never having a plan when I’m SoloQ. Like I believe okay I have to be aggressive and take gunfights instead of playing smart. This video was very insightful and will do my best to apply it to my gameplay. Thank you!

Utility and opening walls and angles to push defenders out and if that doesn't work, taking gunfights

Shooting range does not help me personally. My recoil and aim are terrible when shooting at walls, but as soon as i get into an FFA my aim is completely fine. Just do one or two games of FFA

@anonymous18404 cause you are shooting at 10m wall. Increase the distance and practice different guns like buck, Ace, ash or defenders with high recoil. For the rest of the stuff yes you can do it in FFA

how long are you play sessions on average? your warm up routine sounds like it takes a long, long time and i don't always have that kind of time.. or patience, which is absolutely a me problem. i've only played 2 seasons and want to get better, so i'm going to try the warming up methods you're recommending, but my concern is that if i'm doing "boring" warmups and then only have time for 2-3 matches, which is the fun part, it's gonna take some fun out of the game. currently i do quick match to warm up, nothing else. one or two matches depending on how well i do. though if it's going particularly bad i'll just warm up all night and not play ranked at all

Warm up takes 30min max cause 10min for shooting range and 20min for free for all. Casual is not good to warmup. And overall my sessions take like 2 3hours which means 3 to 6 games

Often i play in a team of 3 with 2 more experienced people, who have taught me a lot, but I've come to realise lately we don't work together well. And what benefit is grouping up, when you all go your own way anyway? Best go it alone, i think, and perhaps make friends along the way

Hey sinoos, I need some help. So my strength is aim I win 99% of my 50/50s, but in ranked I struggle to find those types of gunfights. In my last ranked game I went 0-4 and didn’t get a single gunfight. My game sense is clearly low and I need some tips to help get better game sense, and to find more 50/50 gunfights.

You can be more aggressive on attack and push directly close to site so you can challenge defenders and on defence, hold entries and rushes
