This dopamine thing is real. I'm in my mid thirties and consumed hell of a social media from the beginning. It really hampers your ability to focus on even normal day to day things. Now I completely stopped social media from last 4 years. No facebook no insta no tweeter, no reddit, no Quora. Things got improved gradually. My mental health got stabled, focusing on things got easy, eating food without any screen time. And in last few days completed my one of fav game Splinter cell.

Nowadays there are many games, that many options make someone to just play and complete the story and start another game,this make a rush feeling of playing all games . this ruin the experience that a wanna give. In our childhood games was less i think 😂 so we play one game 2 3 or more time i played gta san Andreas 6 7 times and ended it 5 times the only game i had memories 😊

I have xbox series S console aur abhi RE4 Remake kharida hai and main 12th mein hu😅 still I can play lots of game and enjoy it . Aur yeh sab reels wale log bhi game khelna chaalu kar denge GTA VI aate hi, aur uss time joh dopamine release hoga GTA VI khelte time voh itna high hoga ki reels aur shorts kuch kaam nahi aayenge 😂

No, I disagree with a lot of things. But first, yes, watching reels and developing the tiktok mindsets does have an adverse effect on our focus. But these are not the only reasons along with other things you mentioned. 1. Games even in today's time are enjoyable if they are made challenging, as they were in olden times. Modern games don't have the same amount of replay value because they constantly focus on making this movie style of spectacle out of their games. Where they just oversimplify the gameplay to the point that it feels like a chore rather than actually making it fun. 2. Games are more grindy and repetitive in terms of gameplay, with insertion of micro transactions and all that stuff it gets very annoying. 3. Half baked games, constant updates and massive downloads. 4. Multiple releases at the same time, there is no time to actually play all of them, the moment you get hold of one new releases, thats why there is no consistent anticipation or even discussion about one game. It's always what's the new game coming. 4. Games are injecting annoying messaging and also are hardly innovative in most games. Some old companies only make games which are compelling, others just make it as a cashgrab scheme. 5. Games are just boring, it's not about having a tik tok mindset. It is just that games in general have very boring narrative and gameplay and storytelling. Lot of games are just moving towards RPG with massive worlds to travel in, which is time consuming, and is not very action packed. You have to read and solve puzzles and walk like a tortoise in these games. It just gets more and more boring. With constant hand holding instead of giving a good challenge. Not players fault. Make good games such as elden ring and red dead redemption 2, or Doom and gta v. They will play it. But just keep making some cheap ass games with very uninnovative ideas. It gets boring quickly.
