Thanks for the video! I'm going to need to increase up from a little stacked system up to something significantly bigger in order to produce enough live feed for my fish. Do you know any good alternative low-effort methods for havesting worms (not castings) or is this the best option?

The trommel worm harvester is definitely overkill. I've harvested a good amount of compost worms using the light harvesting method. Basically your going to grab a few big handfuls of material from your bin that has a lot of worms in it. Next your going to want to have a bright light (or the sun) available. Place the material with worms on a small tarp or some sort of surface. Then your going to slowly brush away the top surface of the pile and remove the material but let the worms dive down. Then wait a few minutes and brush the surface again and remove the material. Repeat this until all that you have left is a small pile of worms. I've used a medium sized paint brush to brush off the material.

Thank you! It's pretty simple. The biggest obstacle is protecting the worms from things that like to eat them like armadillos.

Did you make any money selling worms? Or castings?

I would say that I never made enough money from the sale of worm castings to be able to make a living doing it. It was more of a side gig. It's labor intensive and I don't think it's possible to make a living doing it unless you have several employees working under you (I was a one person operation).
