Sir do you believe we are saved by grace and mercy alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone? Do you believe in once saved always saved? The bible seems to suggest everything i asked.
@andreibogdandev9 күн бұрын
@@OragansD.Aristilde You should keep reading the Bible, and pray that God will enlighten you. First of all, what you wrote is false. Faith and works are both required. (James 2) Secondly, when you say that "The Bible seems to suggest" also give the Book, Chapter and Verse so we can also check where you found that information.

Psych student here, the psych community is missing God and the soul. Without it, we will continue to chase our tails trying to figure out ourselves, it will never work and it will never end. I'm only getting my degree because I feel called by God, as a woman and a mother and a wife, to go out and speak to and help the children. Part of my test is going through school and withstanding this secular message from colleges.

I am also a psych student and this is SO RELATABLE. The amount of woke propaganda, secular bias, and bad-mouthing of all things Christian I have to put up with on a daily basis just to carry on with God's calling for me... it's exhausting. I've essentially given up participating in class because every time I get judged for my unpopular opinion - in a university, mind you! The one place you're supposed to be able to have a free exchange of ideas! I understand the importance of continuously feeding oneself intellectually and spiritually, so it's not like I've given up having any discussions at all - but I've quit looking for that at university, when there are far better, more patient, more contemplative, more open minded, and ironically yes, even more tolerant, communities out there to support my education journey. It's unfortunate, but university has simply become a means to an end.

There are also a lot of apparitions revealed and approved by the Catholic Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary that give detailed prophecy that had come to pass, and healings and miracles attributed to our Lady under those titles, such as Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and Our Lady of Fatima. I may be wrong but it’s my understanding that these things are either unknown or not accepted by the Orthodox Church. Is that correct? I have much love for both but chose the traditional part of the Catholic Church personally. Wasn’t easy to choose, but was the best blessing for me.

Earlier this year, I was inspired by the Way of a Pilgrim to pray the Jesus prayer far more frequently and more heartfelt than ever before. So I did, for months on end. The Jesus prayer hasn't helped me at all. My whole life is nothing, and there isn't anything I can do to change that. Everything I try fails, and God never answers my prayers. All I want is to be in the Church but God won't allow my circumstances to change to make that possible. If I die outside the Church, I'll go to Hades, and since my family isn't Orthodox and no Orthodox knows me, there'll be no one to pray me out and into heaven, were it possible. As a result, I am experiencing the deepest despair. I feel like I'm eternally rejected by the Creator of the Universe and there's nothing I can do. I have never been truly alive, I have no purpose. I wish to have Life and Purpose, to become real. But I can't.

@WittanmarkАй бұрын
Psych student here, I was called to study here and it helps me understand God in deeper sense by seeing the complexities of a human mind and emotions. But as Fr. Moses said, it is saddening that the spirit of modern psychology is pointing the answers to all places except the Lord. Although secularization isn't as much a problem from where I'm from (I'm not from the west). Psychology is a field of science which as with any other fields, a media for glorifying God. Also just like any other, it is being used by evilness to justify against God instead. I do pray and hope that there'll be more Christians in the field so that the field could have a new direction: 'all things fulfilled in Christ.' Or in other words, Christian psychology.

Father, bless! I want to share this to you, and to all ortho bros. When you sit down to pray, after you say "in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit", sprinkle with Holy Water in your room! I have read about a starets that used to do that in his cell everyday, morning and evening. And one of his sons asked him why, but he didn't want to answer. The same night, by God's providence, the spiritual eyes of the disciple opened and he saw hords of demons fleeing the room when his spiritual father sprinkled the holy water! Knowing what he saw, he turned to his spiritual son and said "now you know". Now, let me tell you my experience. I started doing it, and the first or second time I have experienced almost zero troublesome thoughts while praying! As soon as I dropped on my knees I have felt something like a depletion of thoughts, some of them usually very "important" (things to worry, or take care or). As I talk more and more to Spiritual people (parish priets, monk priests), I understand that this warfare will only increase, and the only way out is through. May God help us all! I pray everyone of us will get to Heaven's Gates. Amen.

But, based on different things I have heard from Father Mose himself on the video about Mental Warfare as well as others, this may be the devil trying to randomly attack you to throw you off. He would use regret or any negative feelings you have to undermine whatever you are trying to achieve now. I’m sure I got that right but do your own research as I’m still on the journey myself.

I think one issue as believers, but more especially at the level of spiritual leadership, is that the secular population are doing “the work” to understand the depths of the heart, mind, and soul. I am not at all saying the conclusions they are draw are correct/true. However, I do believe there is much more depth to the overall concept of mental health, psyche, etc. I do believe there is a disconnect, but followers of Christ can actually draw real conclusions and bring truth to so many disorders we see today. If secularists are doing the work, they will lead the field. As a Christian, I have been more discouraged by the disconnect and lack of investigation/engagement by spiritual leaders. But I am incoporating spiritual truths into my practice and treatment of clients and their disorders. God-centered first and foremost.
