Second video of yours I'm watching! I've heard a lot of good stuff about this show I'm just not really into waiting very long hiatus between seasons. Once it's closer to ending I'm definitely going to check it out. I was planning to watch it with an ex of mine but we literally broke up like a week before we would have gotten around to us.

Yeah, the long wait is really killing me 😄 Hopefully now that the rest of the series is set in stone we have shorter periods of time between seasons, because in this sense, the Netflix format really doesn't help. Binging 10 episodes in a row and then waiting for a full year is pretty bad. Thanks for the comment!

Dragon Prince is surprisingly really good. Its similarities to ATLA was immediately obvious but its not like a straight rip off or anything. Great video. I didn't know this show's writers were the ones from ATLA.

For sure! In one way its nothing like ATLA, but I feel like it really captures that _feel_ of The Last Airbender. Its really hard to put into words exactly what that is, but either way - it really is a great show.

The aesthetic parallels to dragon age were a massive draw for me personally what is it with elves and mirrors anyway? You know once I got over myself and watched the clone wars it became a lot easier to give cgi animation a chance(especially if people were saying it improves)

The problem is the pacing is trash until halfway through season 2. It's basically splitting the Gaang's journey to the North Pole into 3 seasons; the goal is to keep moving. Season 1 ends with the group nowhere near their North Pole equivalent. It ends with a lackluster "Oh, the egg hatched..." note. Season 2 picks up right there, but spends at least 3 episodes *in the same place, almost being tricked into turning back.* There's few episodes per season, and to waste a good chunk of a Destination Show by staying still is a waste of time. The creators count on us to binge the show, blasting through the badly paced eps. In order to do that, *we need to be hooked,* and badly paced eps makes us more likely to just watch something else. That being said, the show starts off ok, but gets good near the end of Season 2, and great throughout Season 3. Problem is, we gotta sit through 1.5 Seasons of bad pacing to get the good stuff. Still I recommend it though.

I never had this problem as I binged through the series very soon after I heard about it. Still, I felt that the egg hatching in the Cursed Caldera by Callum sacificing this magic was a great end to the season, and the season 3 ending is beautiful. Season 2's end point is a bit more meh by comparison

@@arikaaa69 Yeah in my case I checked it out when it first aired. Season 1 didn't have a satisfying payoff in its ending, since they weren't even close to Xadia. Season 2 felt like the ball was definitely rolling and we got some good developments, and Season 3 had me at the edge of my seat. If they keep the momentum of Season 3 and go from there I'll love this show.
