I watched it just a few days ago and was pleasently surprised. The theme of Bella venturing outside of God's home reminded of the Buddha's story of escaping his palace to discover the world (and it's horrors!) Great movie and a great analysis!

One very fascinating matter in the movie was around the morality of sex and the sexual desires of the child and adults, it brings up so many questions around that area, what is the morality of "physically" an adult woman but "mentally" a child having a sexual relationship with another person, there's this subject in philosophy of sex that Goldman and Jacobson talk about is that if 2 people are both enjoying the activity there's nothing wrong with that act but at the same time there are a lot of discussions about development and the way that person is going to get shaped in the future that makes this matter so complex and puts it in a gray area, we know that it's wrong and immoral for one to do such acts and both Jacobson and Goldman fail to explain these matters because they're contradicting themselves, but except than that there's so many other morality questions that comes up during the movie such as psychological effects on a human being around dead and sick people all the time and being too literal with the child, she is almost too conscious and self centered that doesn't notice other beings and almost takes advantage of everyone, and personally I think the reason was that she didn't have the chance to explore the world of stories and myth and she didn't have the chance to dream or perhaps day dream and wish, she almost had everything in her life and her life was almost too perfect and that made her lack the understanding of the others consciousness and being, good review 👍🏼,you brought up so many interesting points

Really insightful! I didn’t consider the psychological implications of being around sickly people, that’s a fascinating one!

@@ThePlotPals perhaps the point was that she could only see human being as feeble and mortal as they are, or even lesser than that

I saw it with my adult children, and I wasn't prepared for the soft porn scenes, but we still enjoyed the movie.
