Hi Nathan, love the channel. This is Nathan’s BMW workshop, we all tune in to see BMW repair videos. Maybe get a N20 or a B46/48 to work on? Maybe a B58? How about a FWD Mini based X1 or X2? I would actually like to see how an N20 timing chain, sprockets and guides are done and how you fix the rest of the engine. Also would love to see how you fix up the B46/48 once it’s had some miles put on it. Thanks

Nathan, great to see you back. I’m sure you are tired of me trying to get you to do some n63 content but I think the tread overall with BMWs is doing the stuff no one else will do. And it’s all the new turbocharged cars. For example youtube.com/@bimmer.doctor this guy has a brand new channel just off 4 videos with an n63 build. I immediately thought of how you could do that and all it’s complexities. You have all the knowledge as well as the index 12 injectors and on and on. Also, the n20, b48 engine builds are becoming very popular to see redone and rebuilt. Glad to see you back and hope you are doing well!

Hey Nathan, I can't find the video where you mention a final secret for stopping window barrier leaks. I think you used flashing tape. I am now having that problem, and the regular butyl tape isn't working. I need to try what you recommend, but I can't remember what product you used.

Hey Nathan I have a question for you. Do you have or can you get the oil filter for a 2003BMW M5? If so how much are they a piece and how much are they per case and how many are in a case? If you don’t where is the best place to get these filters from? Thanks alot man. I recently bought a 2003M5 with 58,000 miles on it and I love the car but if the money was right I would sell it.

Hey there Nathan, I hope you are doing well. I got question, my friend has a e60 m5 2006 model, and the rod bearings are not changed.. I told him to change the rod bearings and he told me he cannot afford it at the moment, he said that they cleaned all the oil in the engine and they saw no metal shavings at all. He was wondering, can rod bearing failure be prevented with different type of oil? Like if he switches from 10-60 to 5-50 red line, would that help for now to stop rod knock etc? Btw keep in mind he doesn’t drive it daily, he drives it once a month lmao or sometimes once a week

Hi nathan, could use some help with my 03 525 e39, it’s got 140k miles on it been a great car but recently been hearing a horrible noise whenever I turn right and then my engine sounds deeper but only at slow speeds if I speed up it goes away but if I slow down again it comes back until I shut off my car and turn it back on, I haven’t been able to find out what my problem is Iv scanned my car and haven’t gotten any codes would appreciate your help as I love this car and don’t want it to break down on me, thanks for the help

Do more N54 stuff & very few videos out there for E60 535xi water pump replacement which is very hard but is a must do.

Its exactly the same as any other e60 e90 water pump with just a little less room. You can loosen the right motor mount nut and jack the motor if you want more room but you don't need to.

@@andrewr6861 thanks I’ve d on be them on lifts and was accessing most or the ring clamps “ blindly” I dropped the sub frame to get more room it’s tight because of the turbos but I’m going to do mine on the ground I’ll try loosen up the mount and jack up the engine for more room like you said it is easier than dripping theft subframe

@@Bmwrd353 get yourself a 6mm swivel and flexible 6 nut driver and you wont have any problems.

@@andrewr6861 yea thats what I use and separate the thermostat from the water pump to get easier access to remming hoses to remove and put back to new parts if I don’t need to remove the engine mount like you say I’ll do it that way thanks

Hey Nathan, preciate the channel. Is there a vid maybe past that you may have done that would help with an E38 trunk stuck in the Valet Lock position and the Key will not unlock it now. I even tried reinitializing the key and that didnt help. Any help or ideas, even from the community would be great!! Again '99 E38 (740 il). Thanks!

Never Mind Nathan. I double checked the reinitialization of the key and when it final "took" the fob will acutally "override" the manual lock. I dont think it should, but it did/does.

E90 emblem on a recent 74 pinto.. with double over'head-liners', twin wiper motors, Fully auto-matic driveway lock-up features(wont start), and the VERY rare.. floor-mounted rear seat prophylactic ejection-ports..
