Mattress encasements don't stop bed bugs from walking along the surface. They keep bed bugs from hiding in the seams and folds of your mattress and box spring, making treatment and identification easier. You still need to fully treat and isolate your bed before putting encasements on.

Hope you got some answers As I can relate. Mine came in from a free couch and mattress From a clean family. Nightmare. The encasements don’t work! You need thick plastic put over box springs and mattresses at least Three times as they will punch holes through
