i love fleeces, have a couple that i thrifted over a year ago, and i actually just recently made one myself from scratch in a (imo) really nice black and dark cream colorway. after hoodies, fleeces are definitely some of the most comfortable types of tops you can wear!

I think it’s a nice change. I have one from uniqlo and TNF. They are ultra warm as a mid layer and indoor layer. I like the texture change. Also the pockets.

I'm quite a fan of fleece-pile lined softshell garments, with a windproof Pertex outer (examples might be Buffalo shirts, Rab's Vapour-Rise Guide jacket, or Carhartt WIP's Nimbus pullover. Also, would've been cool to hear you discuss specific fleece fabrics, like Polartec's options (I *love* their Alpha fleece material), Patagonia's Synchilla, things like that.

I'm lucky I bought one of those UNIQLO x Engineered Garments fleeces for a winter vacation before they sold out. Had no idea they'd be that popular. Also, I know it would be very different from your usual brand of video, but would you perhaps consider making your own video about how you go about taking fitpics? I've noticed yours are consistently pretty great and would love some tips and examples specifically for amateur fashion photography. Good video, man! fleeces are for cozy bois. I'm definitely pro-fleece. I've been wearing a military surplus one for a minute now. I find its easy to wear with StReEtTeCh fits for everyday. Man, I think fleeces are super sick, especially those kapital/snow peak/ EG x uniqlo ones but I do also think its important to note the very negative environmental effects of them- synthetic fibers in fleece really dont biodegrade and shed constantly when washed which really is a bummer :/

Good point and unfortunately a factor with many synthetic fabrics to an extent (DWR treatment as well is not particularly environmentally friendly). However if we take a sensible attitude to this stuff (i.e. not over-consume and avoid fast fashion brands + mentality) we'll do far less damage as consumers than buying large amounts of low-quality cotton garments

Check out Helikon-Tex Patriot heavy fleece jacket. Absolutely brilliant and looks really good too. Tons of pockets, YKK zips, high insulation, ventilation zips, velcro cuffs etc. and it's only about 70 euro.

Fleece is cool, I started picking up a few pieces last year. Finally shelled out for an And Wander piece, the light fleece hoodie in off-white (product code 57499410042030 for anyone who's interested). A word on And Wander sizing; this piece seem to fit a little looser, dare I say oversized. I'm 5'10" average build, and I generally wear size medium, but I found this piece in size 4 to be too large. I had to exchange it for a small (size 3).

In my opinion the greatest fleece ever made is the Snowpeak sherpa fleece. Specifically the one with thumb holes. That ones best because its neck and hem are bungee adjustable. Its plain black, has technical deets and slim, with a 2-way zip to boot

I have the EG Uniqlo fleece and I wear it all the time. But with polyester fleece one of the downsides is washing it will release microplastics into water sources which won't biodegrade for many many years and is pretty bad for the environment

Hey Antwon, this is a dangerous trend to promote without informing about the dangers of micro plastics. When washing a fleece jacket, it releases about 1.7 grams of microfibers each wash of which about 40 % end up in rivers, lakes and oceans. I don't know if I'm allowed to link the study here, but if you google "fleece micro plastics" you'll find an article from The Guardian that links to the findings of the study. I'd love it if you'd inform your audience about it, maybe recommend using something like a Guppyfriend washing bag when washing fleece jackets and other synthetics. Thanks
