Congratulations!! Your car continues to impress me and just goes to show how much potential that platform has with some traction mods and a couple of bolt-on's. When you put the headers on I think that you're going to be getting close to 10.0 and possibly a high 9.90 with cooler weather and some more weight reduction. You just ran a 10.30 in the heat of the summer with a basically stock car, which is beyond impressive IMO. Awesome job!!

The Ric Flair "WOOO" after each pass lol. Looks like the trans tune makes quite the difference. Guessing GM limited throttle position in first in an attempt to preserve the drive train. Something Dodge didn't seem to care about with the Hellcat when they came out lol

Yes 1st gear is limited to 60% throttle to limit the torque

What gear you in when doing a burnout? Also, any thoughts on upgrading the rear suspension, like cradle lockout, control and trailing arms from BMR. Great progress on the ZL1

I put it in manual and go through first to second gear. And yeah I have the cradle lock out kit just haven’t installed it. Probably won’t do anything more than that

My tuner Brett at pray performance tuned the tcm i had to get it unlocked first by hptuners but yes it is worth it.

Yes sir completely stock exhaust with cats and stock headers. Only bolt on has been the intake and flex fuel sensor. And well I guess the drag pack and passenger seat out. It’s still right around 4000lbs with me in it.

Haha, to be honest you won’t see a massive change on an SS. The 10 speed on the SS doesn’t have as bad of a limiter 1st gear. But if you do cam swap and do either MSD or high ram you will want to get the tcm tuned to change the shift pointd

I think first thing should be a good ecm and tcm tune. You can keep the stock intake and headers just do the tune and add a flex fuel sensor. That alone will be the biggest jump!

Hey man, I have been following all your videos. The guy that tunes my car is 6hrs away. I was considering purchasing hp tuners and having prey do tunes for me like they did you. I want to add e85 and not do a 12hr round trip. Would you suggest that? Also, if prey did your tunes, how are you adjusting your shift points and fuel pressure with out sending the log to them? Also, is hp tunes difficult to learn to use? Thanks. Keep the videos coming.

Pray does great work and can tune your set up but you will have to wait every now and then for revisions. Pray being so busy was able to teach me how to do simple changes like afr and shift points.

It would if you had a high ram or MSD that can take advantage of higher rpm shifts. But in general I didn’t see as big of a gain when I tuned my trans on the SS. The NA motor doesn’t make ss much torque so the trans doesn’t limit you as much as the zl1 does due to boost

It is worth about a 1 tenth give or take and definitely worth it once you cam the car to adjust the shift points.

Yes, once you increase the torque the car will benefit from the trans tune to remove any torque limiters that might limit power on the hit
