1. Buy compost if you can't make it yourself. 2. Till the soil as little as possible (no dig etc).

Yeah but Red Wigglers and other things eat your fungi/mycelium. So the idea of an fungi-based-ecosystem is more sustainable. I've scattered lots of different spores and imported 500+ cubes of woodchips and can't grow a single mushroom. Wonder why? bc Red Wigglers rule.

You can make it hard or impossible for them to thrive by tilling or running a typical agri field setup (bare, baking, dry dead soil in the sun).
