Call me crazy but I ain't buying it. Unless you extend the downspout far away from your house the gutters are just taking the rain that would be distributed around your house and focuses it into a handful of choke points where the water is concentrated and dumped still next ro the foundation. Effectively magnifying the risk to the foundation where the downspouts are. And secondly I've never seen a home with gutters be dry around the foundation during a rainstorm... have any of you?

I don’t get the explanation. In Texas we put dripping water systems around the foundation . Water is always good for foundation.

Water will always flow to the lowest point. So it is very easy to direct water away from your foundations without using gutters
