Heavy machinery are not using aluminum internaly in engines they are also running paper filters in line with there magnetic filter systems. Same with rock crushers. Easier more affordable and effective fix is a magnetic drain plug. As often as people claim to change there oil it works great

I appreciate the information. I went into this knowing nothing and only know what others have shared with me. So far, Im happy with what this product has done for me and the fact that it has extended the service life of my oil for longer ride trips. I know this defiantly isn't for everyone but for those of us who need longer life... Its pretty cool

Nice Travis. Can’t believe I watched the whole vid. I’ve had mine for almost two years on my 17 FE 350. I was aware of most of the information through the research I did before I purchased the filter. I did learn something that I was unaware of. Yeah I was surprised when I found out that there was an actual performance benefit to this beyond reducing friction. I never thought of taking into account lowering resistance from the pump. Nice little bonus so far I’m happy with mine. I used to run the Maxima pro +50 weight. Now I’ve switched over to Amsoil dirt 50 just because I’m a little psycho on this stuff ha ha thanks for the vid was real good.

I base oil change intervals on my motorcycles, for ideally sub 10 on aluminum and sub 15 on iron, ktms 15 hour interval, is about right, to acheive maximum motor life, for a dual sported bike, I would run half of that in real severe conditions. Here's the thing, if you guys can run that $20 oil at 60 hours intervals, and pull the piston at 40,000 miles, and show no ring wear, I'll listen. The you are in My World. I know you cant do it, cause Ive seen other guys try 50 hour interval and end up burning oil by 10,000 miles.

Travis, like you my 22 500 is total TacoMoto! He and Motominded are responsible for everything on the bike. My question is about Amsoil? Both of you are running totally different oils than I have for decades. Do you have any data on this oil, with this system, available? Second question, how do you keep your pants from burnig withour a pipe gaurd on that 500?😆I have to run one on both of my 4t's.

@@TACOMOTOCO I understand the process and love the idea, but my mind likes the redundancy of having a physical backup if the magnet misses anything. I heard you talk about the product on tech talk taco Tuesday and if it really can increase oil change intervals by that much, it is totally worth it and hopefully, it can become available for other bikes.

Pleated filter with magnetic drain plug is your best option for filtering PERIOD. That filter won't do shit for non ferrous items. This is a garbage filter , nice sales pitch though 😂

I don’t agree with you at all and the oil tests say otherwise. And it does grab non ferrous materials through static adhesion.

The keeping red color is a very wrong argument. It means that the oil additives, like detergents are not making their work.... The second argument is about running with water in oil for 20 miles... Maybe better pack an oil filter and 1 l of oil on bike, flush the bad, and go brand new on race.
@EverySingleSunday
@EverySingleSunday Жыл бұрын
Not sure how you figure the detergents/ additives aren’t working. According to your believe wouldn’t the additives eat the red from the oil as it sits in the shelf in the bottle? Having the magnets pull carbon and stuff out seems to be a great way to see the life of the oil. Then having the oil looked at by Blackstone backs that up As for water in the oil…. It happens. But I’m definitely not going to carry spare oil on a ride for 100s of hours just incase I swamp a bike every couple years. I run this filter for my long rides in Mexico because it makes my oil last longer

You gained nothing, you just have double the metal count compared 15 hour interval of a Clean running motor. I had half that count on a 500 with 50 hours on a New motor at a 15 hour interval, with $4 oil Ive never see super expensive oil produce less metal than cheap /clean oil also
@TACOMOTOCO
@TACOMOTOCO Жыл бұрын
And yet the good oil produced better shifting, better clutch action cooler engine temps in hard clutch work and easier neutral location on the ktm Choice metrics can contain multiple variables
@brianricoh3242
@brianricoh3242 Жыл бұрын
The slicker the oil, lessens the clutch grip and does have an effect on shift, with less clutch grip. One reason I hate 15w40 Rotella, has an iron clutch grip (equals notchy shift). But oils vary on clutch grip , Ive even seen some MA2 rated oils, have lousy clutch grip under heavy load and rpm, verses other MA2 rated oils no issue. Air filtration is definitely Key, but any debri can also enter the oil, just like running any leaded race fuel, the lead also gets into the oil.
