7:55 IMO, the non compressed drums sound thicker. the compressed one sound a little thinner but tighter as-well. in this example, the end result would be how to trim the fat from your drums if your using drums that are over powered.
@JaeFreshmen Жыл бұрын
thats a good point and yea i notice that but i was ok with it because i was going to put a baseline , i shouldve added in the video but next time
@johnstarks5323 Жыл бұрын
@@JaeFreshmen That's a great case and point, using a compressor to trim the fat from the kick drum to make room for a bass line to sit well in the mix. That's what's up. your a big inspiration & learn a lot from you, 👍🥁🎹

have you used a daw before?
@michaelm3512 Жыл бұрын
@@JaeFreshmen I’ve used FL Studio for years since high school so I’m pretty familiar, but never with a drum pad
@JaeFreshmen Жыл бұрын
@@michaelm3512 If you still prefer using a DAW, Maschine offers a more streamlined workflow. Although you can integrate the MPC with FL Studio using MIDI, I chose the MPC to step away from my laptop. The MPC's portability is a big advantage, although it can be a bit bulky if you're primarily using it as a drum pad. but if you want to learn something new and don't mind the learning curve of mpc then go for it
