Why you need to keep domain names registered even if you don't have a website yet

A timely message for me, Kara. Thanks, I'm heading for retirement in 2024 and I have just renewed my website hosting and domain name. I haven't done much with my website since February. I'll have more time next year! (I hope) lol xo

I had a website domain that I let expire, then decided to use it again a couple of years later, and guess what, someone else took it so I had to create a new one. Let me be your example. Don't let them expire!!!!!!

Not registering your business domain name even if you're not going to use it right away also leaves room for jerks to impersonate you and/or your business online. And registering domain names similar to yours can help cut down on being impersonated as well, because it keeps look alikes out of the hands of bad actors. Don't let any of them expire.
