I personally think some people do not give up their sins because it is difficult, they don't want change, some sins are very pleasurable, good distractions, etc. Some people don't even want to admit what they are doing is self destructive. For some people a sinless life sounds like a boring life. Some of us are addicted to the drama. Maybe people don't think they will get what they want. It is easier to settle for an uncommitted sexual relationship than deal with a real committed romantic relationship that requires vulnerability. Finding against sins are difficult. It seems easier and far more comfortable to follow through with our sinful routine than trying to change. I know I am easily discouraged.

I am competitive by nature. I really didn't think I was lol But, this is what I feel makes me abstain from anything away from God. - Remember we are all works in progress! My thought process is "Anything I do that satisfies the enemy and hurts my Father" I will deliberately NOT do, just to upset this fallen world. & of course because, I love my Father. If you think that everything in this world is geared towards you to sin and fail in the eyes of God. I make a point to NOT do it... lol 🕊✝ God knows we are most likely going to sin. But, it is what we do with it going forward that matters. This is why keeping in good standing with our Holy Bible and church is so important. It doesn't just protect us from the enemy, but it shuts the enemy out! I am only speaking from my own experiences - and boy do I have many 🤍

What happens when you believe Christ, but not the Church, and start believing religion is just a placebo?
@Alex-lr5rj3 жыл бұрын
Totally understand this! I have waves of this coming through especially now when the times are testing my faith. Ultimately, these types of questions undermine “who we are/ why we were created” and “Whose we are” - which is the fundamental thing Satan chips away at first to separate us from Our Creator. We believe in Christ- start with His words in the Gospel. Ultimately God wants us to have community among each other to help us stay on His path (think of His passion- I pray with the sorrowful mysteries in rosary when I need to center myself) to Our Father. He’s the Way 😉 and understand that as God gave our ancestors in faith (Israelites) tangible things to feel close to Him like the Arc of the covenant, the Manna, the bread from Heaven, we have sacraments for our journey to feel his presence among us.. which with contemplation is ultimately the Eucharist. Praying with you Alex! Keep head up and keep seeking! ❤️
@imalive4u1693 жыл бұрын
In Scripture we are encouraged to gather together in worship in the Epistle of Hebrews. Besides the Church is the Body of Christ in order to be part of Christ you have to be a member of the Church as Scripture states the Church and Christ are inseparable as Christ is the Bridegroom and His Church is His Bride.
