Runescape has definitely cemented it's legacy. Although not the first MMORPG, it is the game that made MMORPG's popular. Say what you will about the graphics compared to WoW, if it wasn't for Runescape, there would be no WoW. Besides the simple and rudimentary nature of Runescape was part of it's character. Now it is touching WoW graphics. That must be why so many people have left or are playing OSRS.

I have 2 to 3 hrs per day to play and can play more hous during weekends. Still worth playing osrs, or is it better jump to rs3?

Truly depends on what you want from the game! I have around the same time as you per week to play and get a lot out of osrs but it does take longer to get places and you gotta be ready for that. I can't really speak to RS3 but as far as I can gather it's a faster experience but maybe not as rewarding in the end, also way fewer players if that matters to you! The nice thing about OSRS is there's no preassure to catch up to a standard there are people in our clan at all stages of the game and there are still things we can all do together :)

I played it old school way when i was noob i sold Raw chikens and logs to grand exchange and other free stuff like bones then bought armour and leveled up now im Combat 50 of few weeks of playing its so simple to play now days and do quests because people have figured out the game

very minor nitpick, but sailing (atleast from what i understand it) didnt start out as a joke, it actually appeared mainly due to rumors as back in the days durring rs2 days new skills were being released almost weekly, and alot of things in the game really looked like sailing would be the next skill, there were a ton of coincidence over time it did indeed warp into a joke with jagex intentionally adding in references, but originally it was simply rumors stemming from the game content itself
