A teacher once told me (I mean our whole class but I’m just me 🤭) EVERYTHING IS A DRAFT. Let everything be a draft. You can come back in and try again and again and again. Don’t mourn that perfection but allow it to be dynamic ever changing guiding star on your path and follow it but in a way that makes you feel alive and unafraid. This idea shifted my mind and my creating so much I felt like I had spent my whole life in jail and was finally free. EVERYTHING IS A DRAFT 💪💪💪💪💪💪

I'm at a loss for words. This is exactly what I needed to hear, deeply in my soul. I'm so surprised by the fact you served as the perfect channel to give me this message, no one else did this around me. you have the most beautiful words to explain it. I even wrote down like 2 pages, word-for-word, on this new notebook I have. I chose this for journalling positive things, and another similar one to journal on negative things. (I separated them like this because before when I had only one journal it would become overwhelmingly negative and I didn’t write enough about the hopeful and beautiful things). Anyway, these words are now in the first 3 pages of this journal and setting the tone for all the upcoming things I’ll write. They won’t have to be perfect, they’re liberated now. I’m more liberated. And it’s so smooth to hear this all coming from you specifically, a sister, a woman that is real, happy, says “fantasy” and “soulful” and “together” like that. also wears all those beautiful things. Makes me see myself, who I feel called to be, and I’m learning so much from you in your other videos as well. But this one really really spoke to me Ayanda, thank you forever for doing this. 💮

Literally, I wrote a poem yesterday night and wanted to post it. It was written with love and care and had a positive message and I was picking it apart and thinking of what if the words aren’t ultimate truth and I could lead someone astray by posting the words. That’s the thing I always fear and wonder when wanting to release something creative. I was worrying last night that this could do some irreparable damage like I was about to commit a violent act. I started then laughing because I realized how harsh I was being to myself. But at the same time this is something that I still keep wondering

Yoh I need this- so much schooling, constructing and deconstructing is so constant and sometimes there are periods where both seem out of reach and unrealistic. I am reentering the phase of gratitude and intentional alignment and boy it has been some what of a cyclone in my head however, my heart always knew what I had not yet faced in terms of logic and reasoning. I needed external validation and cheering on and criticism crippled me paired with my anxiety and chronic depression I recently realised that I had hated the idea of not being a beginner. I hated not understanding things it made me feel inadequate it made me feel like my life was unfinished in ways deeper than I had known. I was breaking at the seam yet I wanted to be complete so complete that there was no room for me to be unfinished, my views, my creativity and even just my existence was really based on the illusion of being complete.
