Why you should ALWAYS take a PELLET WAGGLER and BREAD with you in summer!

Surface fishing fishing is really my favourite method. Need to gear up as you can see from the video they are off at a real rate of knots. Pedigree chum mixer biscuits banded on or bakers meat chunks work as well but the most visible is the bread. If at distance then a waggler float or better still a controller float get the hook out there and to get the feeding started take the time to scatter the biscuits or bread …. Wait until feeding starts then cast into the spot allowing drift of the hook at the same rate as the scatter. Margin at the side of the peg is good for dapping … so explosive. I've watched carp cruising in a Wimslow anglers pool,they cruise midwater,usually in a formation of three (like fighter jets) In the summer the water columns differ in temperature,so the carp choose the water in the column that suits them to cruise in.

Had a fishing holiday in Wales over half term. Free lining bread was a winner all day long. I think it's the heat of the sun. The fish seem to like cruising in the higher levels of warmer water. And if the breads on offer, they'll take it. And I agree l, they always seem to be good size fish as well.

I think the smaller fish will still go down for feed more often than not, which tells me it’s a confidence thing for the bigger fish 👌🏻🎣

I use Korda kruiser Control 8lb, but I don’t think it would make much difference if you had your mainline running right through 👌🏻

some great surface action matt..... i just luv slow sinking flake under a float its a killer method for most species when its warm.....i think they just dont see freelined floating baits as danger matt..they just nail it!..as so many are thrown in at the end of sessions by some anglers....tight lines...

I have not been subscribed for long but see your videos on the method feeder and enjoy watching and learning. If i may can i just say one thing if your unhooking mat is in the blazing sunshine and heat could you possibly wet it 1st before putting a fish on it. I dont think it could be nice for the fish. love your vids man and like i said ive learnt a lot thanks.

It stimulates the most aggressive feeding response from carp and most coarse fish 👌🏻 better than any other bait for a fast bite off the top or about 1ft deep, also easy to strike through. Where bread isn’t allowed small bakers meaty dog biscuits would be my second choice 🎣

Use a small pellet waggler like I did and just fold and squeeze the bread tighter so there are no fluffy parts, it will sink slowly 👌🏻 you then want to drop it in front of cruising fish or in the margin. It will take practice 🎣

You can use anything with the pellet waggler Dave! I use my specimen rods or normal carp float rod 👌🏻 any all round rod 🎣

Floating bread is deadly but unfortunately floating baits and bread is banned at the majority of venues.

Very true, mostly due to birds getting hooked and bread floating into others pegs. I often use slow sinking bread flake and the small pellet waggler to get around this rule ! If you use a fairly big square of bread but squeeze it so it’s no longer fluffy it sink’s very slowly 👌🏻🎣 and for places that don’t let you use bread I find dog biscuits have a similar aggressive response from carp.

@@WestysAngling I've started using punched meat instead of pellets on pellet waggler because it sinks very slowly due to the high fat content. I use a mugging waggler nice and light and cast any fish I see moving, basically mugging them and it doesn't spook them when the float is dumpy and light

@@WestysAngling some of the rules are a joke, there's a complex near me in York and the owner is a massive arsehole, method feeders are banned and basically every ban you can imagine is listed and he shouts and screams at people regularly, his reviews are shocking.

Surface fishing is a fun tactic but sadly a lot fisheries around me banned them due the wildlife, except 1 fishery near me that I'm done fishing for them who are money grabbers.

Comercial fishery u dont need any gear any tactic. Wire hook bread ...fish.
