Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats kzbin.infoUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.

Was on piper the other day at partridge only one using the waggler Vs 10 lads with poles. They all looked at me like I was some novice haha. Weren't laughing when I got my peg going and was banging out F1s and some decent carp. Got the old " What you using for bait maaate"

I broke my old pole a few years ago, so I tend to fish waggler a lot now. I get the same looks from the pole anglers, it seems to be a bit of a lost art with many suffering from poleitis.

@@MrTim207 I know pole anglers who don't know to set up feed and fish the waggler. For me that's the basics

@@stephenmonaghan5766 Waggler only matches should be a thing mate!! Ok,it's not suitable for many of the waters around nowadays but on the right venue it is such a nice way of fishing. I'm getting older and find it really difficult to hold a long pole all day so tend to use the waggler just for comfort.
@stephenmonaghan57663 жыл бұрын
@@pleasantville4529 cracking idea that I know in winter leagues they are used slot and I'd even settle for a pellet waggler only match. Mad cos was partridge and this guy was mugging and doing very well. He turned to me and said wouldn't have a clue to start with the waggler mate and he was complimentary.

Another very graphic and factual video. I have not fished the waggler since 1995ish I have a Normark Titan 13ft which I have got out to start using again. Thanks Jamie for such a great demonstration. My absolute favourite method of fishing is with an old school porcupine float 2 bb shot about 6inch from the hook with either maggot or bread flake it’s crude but it’s caught me some cracking tench / bream / carp over the years

Ever thought about striking sideways it is like pulling your line through a tube instead of upwards having the resistance of water on your line 🤗

It's funny that 3.5lb line is now regarded as a light main line. If we'd used anything over 1.7lb back in the 70s we'd think we were sea fishing! Of course our 1.7lb was probably the same diameter as today's 3.5lb pole lines!

Hi Jamie great info. on our lake we have good head of skimmers and bream.this time of year I use maggot feed.use punch bread on the hook and always seem to take the better fish on the drop up in the water Like dobbin on the waggled not conventional but it works.

Jamie, boss video. I moved from Liverpool to Australia and I really miss a good day on the float in St Helens or around Wigan on the quarries silver and tench fishing. Australia tends to be all spinning and lure fishing in fresh water. They even catch and kill the carp, what a waste!

Great video! Can I ask question regarding waggler. Can you fish waggler with pellet band and 6mm pellet and also can you fish waggler with luncheon meat directly on hook? Ideally for carp and F1s. I know probably pole be better method and pellet waggler also but my son who’s 12 has just started so we’ve not got pole and someone has told us pellet waggler no good at this time of the year! Any help much appreciated please! 🙏

Can you do that anchoring trick by putting a slightly heavier shot on down at swim depth plus a bit & winding tight against that?

I love waggler fishing, or any float fishing really, but in still water. No rivers. And I tend to use much bigger hooks, sometimes people say "you shouldn't be using size 6 on a float" "you won't catch anything" , well I actually do catch. My best is 39 LBS Carp , 11 LBs tench on a waggler.

do you just use some tipex to mark the length on the rod? Does it rub off ok?

Jamie. Regarding the plumbing with a more buoyant float mate, without sounding a bit stupid, it would have to be the same length as the finer one you would use to fish with.? Is this correct? Cheers

What is the maximum casting distance for waggler fishing?Pls advice from your own long distance angling experience. P. S. I am gonna feeding with spomb, cobra or other carp fishing tackles)). For fish bite- binocular fishing glasses. 20 gramms cralusso rocket float and 17 ft rod with 10-35 grams test.
@derekprescott98093 жыл бұрын
Would that 13ft rod be ok casting 3-5g wagglers, normal wagglers and short stumpys to say 30m fishing shallow/on the drop with pellets for f1s and small stockies or would you use a beefed up version?

Both floats use the same weight system. You can use a rubber waggler adapter if your floats are different.

O.12 line is too fine, especially on the strike when you could get run from a carp . Maxima 0:17 4Ib line is perfect to cushion those runs on the strike & more versatile to use for other methods.

M8 I started fishing with a 3m whip you should too. You can learn so much with whips then do the match. Learn float and you can fish anything else like: feeder. Good luck. (you can fish bit its not as efficient as match rod but it could catch you sum fish.)
