There will... I do have videos filmed, I just have not been able to edit them. New job, baby, house have all taken priority in the last few years. also the Punto got written off in an argument with a deer which is a subject for another video in itself.

I need to replace my NSR caliper on my Eleganza, hence watching this video. I have bought the Padgit part too, so finger crossed as I hate doing the job twice. That breaker bar you are using, is it a Halfords Professional one by any chance? If so it will break at the fork, they all do. When that happens take it back and they will replace it without a quibble for a new one with a forged head, because the professional range has a lifetime guarantee.

Hopefully you’ll be ok with the padgit part as mine was a re-manufactured part, as for the breaker bar, no idea had it many years now not sure where I got it but don’t think it was Halfords

nice video , buying cheap parts online its good when it goes well , if it doesnt its allways a big problem . with waranty etc . Let me just correct something , tha caliper isnt a bosh , i mean , it was , when it came from factory , now its a pagid , because pagid rebuilt it , not bosh , the rebuilding process could difer , bosh also has rebuilt calipers , but pagid its also good quality , whith this i am saying that just because it has the bosh logo , what matters is the company that rebuilds it , some can use parts/rubbers with worts quality , but in that case pagid its quality , it could even be better that the bosh itself .

It is a "Bosch" made caliper originally but yes rebuilt by Pagid. The cheap replacement caliper had absolutely no branding on it at all and was considerably lighter in weight than the real article.

i have the same experience, rear breakcaliper from ebay after 1 year failed. Also bought an ignitioncoil from ebay 11 euro's, failed after 11 months.

Thanks for commenting, it’s very frustrating I know, from now on I will be sticking to known companies even if they are on eBay, making sure to use someone with a reputation

Back in July time I took my 2011 punto evo to out friends garage for an ABS fix and full service. He recommended sending the failed part off to be repaired at a fraction of the cost of a new system. And the outsourced company played the Covid card for an extra 4 weeks longer wait. A 1 week max job turned into 6 weeks.

Hey Andy sorry to hear of the problems. If the brake caliper isn't old than 90 days you can open a case with PayPal for eBay and you will get your refund.

6 months later it failed the MOT so sadly well past starting a dispute with Paypal

@@PuntoHowto Could I ask how your new calipers are doing now? Any problems so far? I have just received a pair ordered online thinking they were remanufactured but they appear to be new, and worryingly cheap for brand new - I suspect we may have dealt with the same company! I bought mine direct from their website but I am aware they also deal on eBay. To avoid any legal issue, I will just give the initials of the company: E.C. - does that sound like the same company you dealt with?

I will.... well I only replaced the sliders and didn’t rebuild the whole calliper? I will do a video on changing the calipers promise I’ve done it so many times now, that I definitely have plenty of video footage
