Why you should be using PowerPoint Live in Teams

Love this explainer video. This isn't what I would have thought PowerPoint Live actually means! Very helpful as companies are considering the transition from Zoom to Teams as a training delivery tool. The nice thing about Zoom though is that you can share another document, screen etc without stopping your share first. You presume in this video that sharing slides is the only content that is shared. We often share websites, files (Excel, Word), Emails, etc. Would be nice to toggle between all these types without stopping the share. Have you done videos on this topic?

Everybody forget how can we return to presentation from other screen sharing? or after pause in presenting at the next meeting? How can i restart presentation which i have already shown?

I like PowerPoint Live in Teams and wanted to use it today for a webinar I was giving. A couple of the slides in my deck used transitions and I found that the transitions didn't work when using PowerPoint Live in Teams so I had to resort to sharing my screen and using PowerPoint with Presenter View turned on. Is this a known bug with PowerPoint Live in Teams?

No. It should render correctly. Was it slide transitions or custom animations? What transition was it?

@@ProductivityCoach Hi Stuart, many thanks for such a swift response. It was a morph transition. It works perfectly in PowerPoint (desktop app) but no morphing whatsoever when played through PowerPoint Live in Teams.

I tried to use it today with a presentation that contains "slide zooms" i.e. with interactive icons on the slide that would normally transition to another slide. THIS DOESN'T WORK with PowerPoint Live in Teams... too bad

When I record the meeting what will be recorded when I use PowerPoint Live in Teams? Will the participant's view recorded or the presenter mode? And can I prepare PowerPoint Live presentations or is it only available during a meeting? I do not have "Present in Teams" probably because I am on a Mac?

It will record the participant view. Just prepare your slides as normal, save in your OneDrive and it’ll be there ready. I have a Mac and I have Present in Teams. Maybe you need to update your PowerPoint client.

Looks like that my transitions are not displayed and just the first slide appears and when I use a pen or laser that is not recorded too. Do you know by chance if the audience is seeing transitions and the pen/laser? Again many thanks in advance.
