Proper good honest view and totally agree. I dont have the garage space for a large van , only enough room for a Berlingo type but im doing it and for the exact reasons you mentioned. Great vid and now a subscriber. Look forward to your future videos!

I bought my “minibus” 4 years ago an have converted him into my van in my style. No cupboards are straight, nothing is perfect BUT its mine. I retired through ill health, arthritis , its been a frustrating struggle But hes 99.9% complete, im a retired long distance hgv driver an now my trips are for me at my pace. Ive stripped an rebuilt him three times now until i got him the way i want. I dont live in him but if i werent a single dad i easilly could. I think the best way to sum It up is ive built a “big kids den” , my den where i can take him where i want an like a snail have my home on my back .ps i own a car as well and when u park the car up to drive the van for a few days its excitement and an adventure everytime, even if its nust goi g to drop my daughter at college an waiting in the car oark for three hours to bring her home again

Likening your van/build. I’m building a LT46 minibus camper. Using reclaimed timber. I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I think that's a big difference, being able to afford a home base and a large vehicle to travel or not. One is more of a luxury and another is more of a lifestyle with pitfalls. If you don't have a home base, any accident, big repair or life event can become stressful and financially burdensome. I still think it's worthwhile, for me, I loved hiking and easy access to workout at quality gyms. I'd do it again (without a home base), but I do think it's not for everyone.
@LT35story19 күн бұрын
I agree with you without a home base I can imagine it can get very scary, if you got plenty of cash possibly not as bad, I know it's not for everyone, but having a a camper or just a van to get out on a weekend is a good novelty to have, in alot of ways, I know some people are living in vans because of the current circumstances, and some people don't like been in a house personally I don't like been in a house but at the moment I have no choice, I put my childrens needs first, but children grow up 😂, thanks for your comment I appreciate your input 👍

The negative videos just seem to be clickbait to me, and perhaps they don't want the competition on youtube.

Possibly, it annoys me how alot of them don't reply to a single comment, I mean if the have hundreds of comments it could be hard but they could show willing and replay to a few, thanks for commenting 😄

@ There is no such thing as normal folk. It’s a myth, try it out yourself, how many normal folk do you actually know? We are all very different and also very similar is a better way maybe? Welcome to your new friends, I cherish my oddness, how about you, are you really normal ?

@@bettyboohadapoo very true we are all different, it was abit of a joke as in all you see on social media is perfect people and perfect lifes where life's not like that, normally or normal people to me go out and work everyday pay bills and love there families, most vanlifers I see I mean the Popular ones most of there content is fake and spread a wrong message about vanlife, mostly click bait videos and pictures I hope I explained ok.
