The problem with a lot of cheap gaming PCs on Amazon (both pre-builts and "renewed") are the sellers. The Alarco, ViprTech, and STGAubron use a cheap Chinese motherboard (possibly from AliExpress) as well as an Apevia power supply possibly with components of questionable quality which will make the computer unusable if the motherboard dies. Both the pre-builts and refurbished PCs from STG Global, TecDale, TechMagnet, SJ Computers use SSDs, Wi-Fi adapters, and even gaming peripherals (the giveaway is the Enter key being taller rather than wider) that aren't good quality and tend to fail. These PCs especially the refurbished PCs are also underperforming. The first issue is they tend to include a GT 1030 (or even a GTX 650 or 750 with the Alarco or ViprTech; some even with a GT 730) which will barely run modern games (for example, Hogwarts Legacy states it requires the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 470 with 4 GB VRAM) and the Wi-Fi is said to be 802.11n 2.4 GHz (most PCs are using 802.11ax or Wi-Fi although some do use 11ac or Wi-Fi 5) which is very slow and tends to have problems (likely because they're using "Realtek" adapters from Amazon). Another thing worth noting is that manufacturers don't install Wi-Fi as a USB adapters; instead, pre-built desktops and laptops have Wi-Fi built-in via M.2 (or Mini PCI-E for older PCs) though some desktops do use PCI-E cards. I should mention these PCs don't support Windows 11 without workarounds and if you do install Windows 11 anyway, some games like VALORANT won't run due to lack of Secure Boot and TPM 2.0). Also, the ACEMAGIAN doesn't have a way to upgrade the GPU. I know people tend to bash on pre-builts, but people do need to keep in mind that not everyone has the skill to build their PC. I can understand some OEMs skimp on the quality although laptops are at least better unless they have issues. I do have an AORUS 15G with the RTX 2060 which had an issue with the fan making loud noises, but I managed to fix it by oiling the fans. However, one thing I could agree on regardless of how you view pre-built PCs is the default storage. A lot of cheap desktops and laptops are notorious for coming with 512 GB which is too small by 2023 as a lot of games will easily deplete the storage. Fortunately, some newer systems are coming with 1 TB but even that can be taken up with most newer AAA games. I don't think this is the OEM's fault since even the PS5 and Xbox Series X (especially the $300 Series S with 512 GB) have the same problem and the same is true for the Steam Deck and ROG Ally handheld PCs (the Lenovo Legion Go as well). So yeah, you will need to be careful if buying PCs on Amazon, Walmart com, and especially eBay. If the listing's title doesn't mention the processor (e.g., Intel Core i7-13700F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X) or mentions the Wi-Fi protocol (e.g., Wi-Fi 6), you should avoid this PC. Also be sure to look at the keyboard and check if the keyboard layout matches your country. I know Dell or HP wouldn't ship such as keyboard with their PC.

Generally prebuilds also waste your parts value. Putting hot cpus under trash air coolers, glass choking intakes, single ram sticks and maybe undervolting CPU. So not only more expensive than same parts individually but also worse performance using same parts .

Fr bro. Unless you getting the Dell computers from like the 2015s, you will not want to buy one pre built.

Built a maxed out pc for £2.8K with sales on certain parts. Compare that to a prebuilt online thats like a 4080 with maybe a ryzen 7800x3d, huge difference!
