Sony is just clinically perfect. They have all the right cards. Their laser focus on Mirrorless from the very beginning is paying off. They charge the premium, they can afford to.

Ask Camera Canada for a CFexpress 80 or 160gb and put your 4k 120p & 1080 240p on the highest bitrate. I think its much better, expensive as shit for the cards but the 80gb was on special a while back so I picked one up. A7siii is much better at low light / night over the A1 for video but in daylight the A1 is sick with the ability to crop in on the sensor + clearview zoom. If you film in 8k and resize in post its sposed to be comparable in low light but thats just too much effort and time. I thought you had the 600 prime in the background when the video started :D - ask CC if they have a spare one floating around for review ??

If you check Sean Tucker's channel, he is an amazing portrait photographer, which used Canon and then Sony. It can be done if you pour hours fine tuning your RAW picture and you have the Photoshop skill to make it look good. Sony had the latitude and bit depth to allow anything, but the OoC results are awful. You have to set in stone your limit of abuse taking from your gear and live with that

Great video Kasey and nice sequence of fish and night heron..! You most likely already know this but one of the things that more advanced cinema cams (like Canon's R5c & C70) have is a "pre-rec" or "cache record" function whereby the 3 or more secs before you hit the rec button are also recorded to your clip.. means you don't miss any action from delay in hitting rec.. a super useful feature for filming wildlife.. though you will most likely need a tripod to film from as hand holding is an issue with that size/weight of camera. all the best to you..g

Dear CC, please help. I want to shoot 30min+ walking videos where I’m behind camera with infinity focus on the scenery. Stab is most important, IQ second, small size third. I have an iphone6s, A7iii, and fuji xpro1. If I use the Sony, I’d have to buy a gimbal and samyang 18 2.8. I want 100 degree field of view. Other options where I live: gopro10 $750, insta360 1inch - $320, action 2 - $440. I could get an iPhone 11 for the same price as the gopro but I would still need a gimbal, I think. A7IV feels like the best hybrid but not having 120p 4k is hard to accept at this time. A7SIII is too low MP for stills. And IBIS isn't the best on Sony when compared to Panasonic. I also saw a video with Canon IBIS and it looked sh*t. And Canon doesn't even have anything other than R5 that is a good hybrid and that has that ridiculous 30 min limit. It's like they unite to make you unable to purchase anything at all.
