I just picked up the flute again recently! I also agree with the fact that the flute doesn’t require a reed. You just put the instrument together and go!

at my school, you try out for instruments. you'd pick three that look appealing to you and the band director helps you try them out and they pick what you're going to play. i got the flute because i 'was a natural' lmao

Every year for Veterans Day at my school the seventh graders always would play on instruments to The Stars and Stripes Forever and the cheerleaders lead the flag dance while the music teacher directs the music I was doing that last year, I was also a cheerleader so I couldn’t do the flag dance but I got to do the stuff cheerleaders do before that since The Stars and Stripes Forever was at the end of the program

Very good! She plays very well. Lol - might laugh at my one crossing of paths with a flute. I traded an old VW bus for it and a bicycle 🙂 I still have the bicycle. The flute went the way of the wind. Still have my old guitar, though. May dust that off some day. Good luck! Thank you to her for her service.

The recorder (block-flute) is a fully chromatic woodwind instrument (not just a toy) and doesnt have a reed.
