Really great! I'm also alto sax player, I play in the Castle guard/ Czech police band in Prague. The thing I love the most about this job is that I can perform many music genres including classical and movie music, jazz, or even pop music with the band! We also play during official state and police ceremonies. So I think that choosing a military band career is the best option for musicians who enjoy all the music styles and want to experience more action than for example in a symphony orchestra. One of my favorite instruments. Lol - you'd get a laugh at the one time I tried to learn to play my brother's alto - we lived in the country, so I didn't feel I had to be too shy...neighbors weren't too close, except for one down the road, whom I would occasionally drive to distraction with an enthusiastic rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Squeeek! Squawk! The cows would answer, then this guy would come crashing out of his cabin... "SHUT-UP!!!" 😀 Gotta luv it!

I am a working pianist. Played pianos all my life and grew up in a family of musicians. My friend were also musicians. We were surrounded with friends who were and still are musicians. Grown and gone of course I own my own business and I still play piano today of course. I do that for a living. That is my job. Many people think that the piano is the most sexiest instrument but do you know that actually the sax is the sexiest instrument? It is not only the sexiest but the most romantic instrument as well. The soprano sax is what Kenny g. Used but i am sure that he plays other saxophones as well. Anyways the piano is far from that it is far from beeing sexy. It is the work instrument. The sax players though you all get everyone going with a romantic evening. Saxophones are also used in pop, rock, well, older rock, and smooth jazz. Out of all the instruments other than the violen and guitar the sax is actually too one fo those instruments that can relax you listening to it. Now if it is a jazz sax probably not as much unless it is a jazz tune that is slow. A jazz ballad or something to that nature. But as far as saxophone from Kenny g. Oh yea. That can relax you. The acoustic guitar can also relax. If you look at the violen though it is more of a love instrument. Saxophone is just pure awesome nad romantic.

How do you make saxophone playing sound jazzy or or classical? Is it a breathing or tonguing technique?

A part of it is selection of mouthpiece and reeds. Im sure the embouchure is a little different for both styles as well.
