Yes it absolutely will! I think the weather overall is good in Aberdeen. As you are on the East coast it tends to get windy but that keeps the rain clouds away and makes way for the sun! So yes, the sun definitely shines in Aberdeen!

great video! this was super helpful, im applying to aberdeen (as an international student from the us) and this was a nice way to figure out how to compare it w others schools!! the four year thing for me is super big because its similar enough to the us college system while having much more breathing room. im applying for the anthropology and psychology course(s?) and looking forward to hopefully being so close to all of the castles and such. whats the accomodation like on/off campus?

Thank you for making this- I'm thinking about studying abroad at Aberdeen for a semester from the US so your videos are incredibly helpful!! My other option is Univ of Strathclyde but I'm currently leaning more towards Aberdeen. The only thing that's holding me back is travel- how difficult and expensive is it to get from Aberdeen to major cities across the UK? I'd think that'd be easier to do from Glasgow but I could be wrong!

Oh dear😆 I agree, it can be a bit grey sometimes. But I always loved going for nice walk along the beach or around Seaton park. And on the weekends, get out of Aberdeen and explore a little. It's easy enough to get the bus to Stonehaven, Banchory, Dinnet, Slain's Castle etc and lots to do and explore there 🙂

I went to aberdeen in the 90s as a black international student, it was a horrible experience of xenophobia and racism from the students and staff, dont know if things have changed.

Things are definitely very different now with a very international student community and friendly environment. At least that was my impression!

Plenty mountains in Scotland! The highest are the munros of which there are 282! Feel free to google that to see what hills you can do from Aberdeen. Some are hard to access by public transport but there is a hillwalking (lairig) club at Aberdeen uni that you can join who organise trips!

Hi! Yeah you can do an MSc in Clinical Pharmacology here! There's more information on it here if you're interested: www.abdn.ac.uk/study/postgraduate-taught/degree-programmes/37/clinical-pharmacology/ There are loads of things you can do if you do an MSc in Clinical Pharmacology. And there are loads of options either inside or even outside the field. I think there is some good information on this website here: www.prospects.ac.uk/careers-advice/what-can-i-do-with-my-degree/pharmacology Another thing you could check out is the website of the British Pharmacological Society (BPS) here: www.bps.ac.uk/careers-in-pharmacology/where-can-pharmacology-take-me That also gives you loads of different ideas of what to do with your degree 🙂 In fact, if you are not a member already, you should definitely consider BPS membership. It is free for undergraduate members and the society is great for keeping up to date with all things pharmacology and there are always a lot of opportunities highlighted in terms of careers. If you join you can join the society community and networks, for example the undergraduate and early career pharmacologists network. I am actually a network leader for the undergraduate network, so if you want to join or have any questions how to do so please let me know!

Hi! The courses for that in first and second year are the same as I did and I really liked them (see this video for more: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZW2oqman7aqoaM). And then I knew I few people in my year who were studying embryology and they really enjoyed their course. It's usually a small cohort of students so especially in the final two years of the degree it'll be quite a small group for teaching which is good 🙂
