I just got a 2025 Grabber Blue adv160 about 500 miles ago and it's a relaxing way to see the country scenery I just cruise around 25 -45 nice and easy. It's really hard to beat . I have a seat cushion and a Puig windshield and now it's way better to ride . Thanks for your cool videos. 👍

Scooters are just very underrated in the US. I have a BV 400 and she's been on 600 mile trips. Storage, MPG, comfort and simplicity. I'm 59 and started riding at 54 so I wanted a Motorcycle, got a Speed 400. Nice and simple stable.🤙

I have a red one, 2023 model and at this point, it's like it part of my own body it's so easy to ride and get around. I just set my Google Maps to avoid highways and I can get around everywhere pretty easily. Being retired and not having to rush makes taking the surface streets and backroads very calming. I rode motorcycles for about 40 years and gave it up after too many near death experiences. On this, I have my nerve back. Just one close call but the brakes are ABS on this and it stops very rapidly and I avoided the "guy turning left doesn't see motorcycle coming straight" collision. Got to get that Corbin seat for more comfort. As you have said before, it can go freeway no problem - mine tops out at 67 mph exactly like yours. The scooter does everything for you the motorcycle did. I'm not going on the long rides anymore, just enjoying the scooter. Everyone feels comfortable coming up to me asking about the scooter and the mileage and the cost. Like you, I spent a little more for the Honda quality. It's a conversation starter for sure.

I'm 46 and just recently bought a '24 Honda PCX and I'm in love. The PCX is pretty similar to the ADV but more street. I wish I'd gotten one years ago.

I wanted a white PCX, but couldn't find one anywhere. So a dealer got 3 ADV150s and I opted for one of those. Yes, very similar bikes and love them both!

@@TrekopolisI wanted a white PCX as well, didn’t care for the satin gray. I lucked out finding a new 2022 at a dealer this past February and snagged it. I absolutely love it! Such a chill machine to ride without clutching and shifting (I have two HD’s as well). I added a tall National Cycle shield for comfort and a SHAD top case for hauling groceries and holding my helmet when parked. I even did a 190 mile day trip on it comfortably, with the exception of my butt being sore. I have a couple seat pads from Amazon that help out some in that regard.

I know exactly what you mean. At 53 years old I’ve been riding motorcycles for over four decades. I’m currently on a 2023 Yamaha MT 10 which is a very big heavy powerful machine. I can’t ride the way I used to in my 20s and 30s, so I will most likely be stepping down to something a little bit smaller in the future

Been watching your videos for a few years…when i started looking at the ADV150 and Hondas “small bike” lineup. Ended up getting ‘22 Honda Navi then traded for a ‘22 Honda Trail125 (both new). Then bought a used ‘20 Ruckus, then a used ‘21 Janus Halcyon 250, then, just a couple weeks ago, a used ‘23 ADV popped up locally and snagged thar very cheep. I love it! So smooth, nimble and effortless. Now just need to find time to ride them all! Keep the videos coming!

Last motor bike was a 1400 Ninja. Too heavy and unnecessary! I'm 52 and now own a ADV350 ! Love it . Under seat storage is great and you could pop into town or country lanes or highway use too. Fantastic bike highly recommend. Enjoyed your video 👍🏼

I just got my M1 last week, at 47, and ordered a small electric scooter (ES5) for local stuff, and am looking at either an ADV 160 or an X-Max 300 for my more storage/longer range scooter. I came from electric bikes and just had no interest in learning to shift gears and was never looking to ride a sports bike or something crazy - It was always about cruising on an easy simple twist and go. I would just much rather be paying attention to the ride and the guy turning in front of me than the RPMs and the gear I am in. Thanks for the videos.

I have considered a scooter, but not one that small. I'm now 76 years old and downsized from my big Indian to a Rebel 500. I put over a 130000 on my Harley and another 15000 on my Indian but they both weighed over 1250 pounds with me my wife and our gear. I had my left knee cap shot off and in the last few years has got weaker. The rebel only weights 400 pounds,

Honestly, I am there already. I have noticed we bought a little scooter 50cc even to take to camp sites. And never had time to go camping but, I rode that little thing around grocery store and about neighborhood. I may look silly but, it is a blast. I actually would like to have a 150 or bigger to go little further. Twist and go is nice. Gears in traffic where I live is pain. So simple is great. Nice vid. I am still riding my big bikes full tour HD and M8 softails but, I really engine daily fun on twist and go light weight stuff. I might even go Honda Mini Moto even.

I reflected back on my TOMOS moped when I was a teen and remembered how much fun it was to ride a small, light bike and that's another reason I went with the ADV150 to be honest. One reason also I was thinking to go with something like your setup is light to get out of garage or if even leaving it outside which is more prefered to make quick jumping on more appealing. But, all plastic makes cleaning a breeze vs all the nooks and crannies of my other bikes and all the chrome and paint. Takes me hrs to clean. I ride and put in garage and go to ride and is covered with dust again.

14’ Honda Forza 300, love a light nimble scoot. It’s almost perfect but the suspension leaves a lot to be desired. 70mpg and 80mph if need be for a quick highway jaunt is awesome.

I am sure you have mentioned it elsewhere but just quick let me share: I always carry my emergency key tool on my keyring. I keep a replacement fob battery under the seat with the registration. That way if the fob battery ever dies I can open the seat with the emergency tool and replace the fob battery. Very quick and easy to do. So always carry a spare fob battery.

Oh yes, I've covered the topic in many other videos. I carry the hex key with code on my at all times and an extra battery in my wallet, along with the blue emergency coupler under the saddle. You never know.

At 66 I downsized from a large ADV and street bike to a ADV150 and 411 Himalayan. The ADV150 goes on most the forest service roads I travel. Best upgrade was the variator clutches and weights from the scooter swap shop. Lots more torque.

My first set of 2 wheels was a 2013 Honda PCX 150. It was fun, light, and quick. My next motorcycle was a 99 Honda Shadow 1100. I just sold it because I didn't ride enough due to it always being a chore to wrestle it around in traffic. I'm 5'4 and about 135lbs. I'm considering going back to a scooter. Possibly a Honda Reflex, older Honda Helix, or Suzuki Burgman with a larger engine.

I've been looking at scooters for over a decade now. I've got an old jacked up hip and lower back problems. Having a little street legal 'mini bike' to make quick trips to the store, or just f around on is why I can see owning one. I used to have a HD, even when I was young (when I didn't really realize how bad my hip was) my right knee and shin would ache after a few hours because of the way my hip sat. Wind in the hair feels pretty good at any speed.

Right on! Yep, I like the wind experience anywhere from 25-40mph and any more becomes, well, annoying to me. The larger wind screen I opted for this helps push the air over me more than the stock screen. I like a little wind, but not overkill. There's a fine balance to me.

I wish I lived in a place where I could ride a scooter but I’m just too scared tbh with all the speeding traffic and crazy drivers I’d be limited to where I felt comfortable riding it. If my work was close by I’d own one for sure. The Honda Goldwings have the DCT transmissions which basically work the same as an automatic where you don’t have to shift gears, and if you do you use the handle bar triggers, no clutch or shifter. But it’s the complete opposite to being light like a scooter at over 800 lbs lol but it does have a creep mode forward/reverse so you don’t have to move it using your own strength when trying to park or maneuver in small spaces. That’s what I’ll probably end up getting. Ride safe!

Yes, life has been a ride lately and little time to make videos. MotoGP is awesome! I never knew how fun it was to follow that stuff. As you are aware by now, MM just won 2 in a row! Good for him. I like Marc because he's humble and professional. The MotoGP decals are simply because I'm a fan. :) Secretly, I wish I would have tried track racing back in the day now that I am into it. Hi: I am turning 70, from Seattle, now retired, living in Bataan PH. OK. I own a Honda PCX 160 and a Honda XRM 125 Motard. I like each of them but they do very different jobs. The PCX is excellent for long trips on nice roads, going to the market. But the PCX cannot handle flooded roads and is terrible on slippery muddy roads, to the point of being dangerous. The XRM can do muddy slippery roads and floods. The XRM can handle road conditions that would destroy the PCX. I am very lucky in that I can afford to own both motorcycles. If you must choose to have only one, then it all depends on where and how you will use it. The PCX 160 is best, most of the time, but the XRM is what I use during the monsoon season. Thanks.

Absolutely! Where you ride is the most important when choosing any bike, great point to bring up. Around my neck of the woods it's nothing but well maintained pavement and I never ride during wet conditions because I have other transportation. I am grateful for that too. My ADV 150 is simply entertainment, not a daily commute. I bought it to reduce stress and enjoy the experience of riding again as most Americans do. In other countries smaller bikes are used as primary transportation.

I have the Honda NC750X DCT. I love the automatic nature of the bike, but the weight and height are a lot to manage. I've wanted a PCX or ADV 160 every since I started riding a few years ago. I convinced myself I "had" to ride on the interstate. Eh, riding on the interstate sucks and a bigger bike doesn't change that. I miss riding scooters.

@@JamesDGarland I’ve got the same exact dilemma. Pretty much the ADV 160 will do everything I *need* it to, and get better gas mileage and be lighter. The X-Max on the other than will do anything I might EVER ask it to, and has more cargo space, and built in GPS support, and still gets 85-90mpg. (I bought an electric scoot for my short range trips when I don’t need the cargo space, so the fuel efficiency is also slightly less of a concern). If you’re asking me which I’d rather have tomorrow it’s probably the adv160. But have this nagging feeling that 2 years from now I’ll either be glad I got the X-Max or wish I had.

at 6ft 245lbs I would not get the adv 160. to cramped and you will get the same gas mileage as the xmax. plus you get more storage and it can take the highways. you will need a taller windshield tho or the buffeting will be nasty. I live in a hilly area and there is no way that adv will keep up in traffic. I also just ordered the xmax comfort seat from Germany can't wait for that. then I can really put in long rides no prob plus the gps and ability to answer calls and change songs from the bike itself is just amazing. it also tells you how much oil life you have left and other service intervals.

I ride a Honda WinnerX in Vietnam, 149cc and can do highway speed, underbone with underseat storage. For the same level of performance in the scooter world, I'd have to up the displacement to the 350 class (SH 350, ADV 350)

I am in my 60s and have owned many motorcycles over the years. About 7 years ago I bought a PCX 125 as my daily commuter, saving my Shadow 1100 for fun rides. In the just over 12 months that I owned it, the scooter was perfect for my needs and cost very little to run. Unfortunately, of all the bikes that I have owned, this was the one that seemed most attractive to thieves. There were 2 attempts to steal it after I had left it parked (lock through wheel prevented the theft) and finally I was drop kicked off it at the lights and it was taken. Being so light and capable of being ridden by a monkey just makes them too easy to take. I loved the practicality of a scooter, but I went back to the 1100, as if they kicked me off that, at least they wouldn't be able to pick it up?!

Wow, that's unfortunate and I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm thankful I live in an area that you don't hear about situations like that too much, if ever. In fact, you're the first person that's ever mentioned it. Yes, a heavier bike will prevent such a thing, true! I have thought about carrying something on me for protection, but I'm not sure if I have to resort to that unless I plan to travel longer distances one day. For now I enjoy short jaunts around town and it satisfies me just fine. Anyway, glad you're still able to ride.

I really think it depends. Age depends. 50 is not old lah. ha ha ha An hour and getting crapped up? I just finished doing 15 hours a day with only 3 hour breaks. Actually Honda here announced that they will no longer be importing the ADV150 and ADV350. Only one they will bring in is the ADV750. It had to do with sales. for every 1 150, they sell 4 750s. Same with the 350 version. Gee $5000 that is so cheap. the 150 version here goes for NT$230,000 (around $7200 USD). Part of the reason the 150 and 350 sell poorly is because for an extra NT$40,000 (around $1100 USD). You can just get the 750cc version.

@@wheels2fun526 The issue is the stock seat on the ADV150 is equal to the firmness of a common park bench. In addition, I have no meat on my personal seat. I know, TMI. But, I thought I'd explain the hour comment regarding the seat. 😂✌🏼

Got a Burgman 400 last month. I doubt that you will be disappointed. If I had known how much fun these things are I would have bought one much sooner. Been riding since 1967 and find myself picking the scooter when I'm going riding instead of my 1100. It also has no problem on the on the faster highways when I am forced to get on one.

I think that BMW's C650GT was as close to perfect as you could get, so they stopped making it. However, the Honda Forsa 750 is a good replacement and the Honda X-ADV is a close second if you like to explore. Unfortunately, neither is sold in North America. Yamaha also has higher HP scooters that are not sold in North America.

I love scooters but I won't be buying one as I love being able to change gears. I even own a small manual car for that reason. I'm 64 and own an 82 VF 750 (v45) Magna and love it. I used to have one of those blind spot mirrors you have on your bike but got rid of it because I got sick of seeing me looking back at me. Besides from that it was great. I now have one on each of the side mirror. I hope you get many more years of happy riding from it.

I bought my first automatic vehicle 2 years ago (170cc scooter) after owning manual transmission cars and bikes for over 50 years. I rode old manual transmission Vespas for many years and would still opt for a manual transmission scooter if they were available. I can see why manufacturers have all gone to belt drive CVTs, cheap to build and easy to use.

I'm still far from being old, but had a PCX 150 for a few years, loved it... but the engine is just too small. I wouldn't want anything under about 300 cc.
