Got mine day before yesterday- 08/18/2023 Rmz 450 $6500 out the door with a free Yoshimura RS 12 pipe and a $200 army graphics kit for free. I don’t know what everybody’s on about because this thing will book. I’m 60 years old with double knee replacement-fused back-fused neck and screwed up shoulder. Started on the third kick. The bike stock has more torque than the YZ 250 F can’t wait to put the Yosh on it and get it tuned because she was ripping today once I got the suspension dialed. Like a kid at Christmas. Amazing bike.

Nice video, well done. I too am a Vet getting back into riding after several yrs off, been riding since I were a kid on my 78 YZ80. I just purchased a new 2022 RMZ450, it is my 1st Suzuki & my 1st 4 stroke...$8200 OTD cash in MI. Can't wait to ride it. I've installed the Acerbis skid plate & the frame guards/grip. Going to purchase the Yoshi R-12 full exhaust, swap out levers & a couple small things, but other than that it'll stay stock. This is the 1st time anything I've owned was not built internally...all my sleds, bikes, jet-ski's muscle cars etc., proves I'm old! lolol

@Happydays I see your comment in my listing but I don't see it here & I only saw part of it, so I'll answer what I saw. I love the bike overall, but it has some things they should upgrade to compare with the others. Their map settings are a small project to change, but tbh I haven't seen the need to change to "Aggressive" mode from the factory setting, it has all the power I need. I will switch to it eventually just to see the difference, but it takes probably half an hour to do it. But when you switch it, there really isn't a need to keep going back & forth, so it's not really an issue to me on whether or not to purchase. Until they go to a battery & E-start, they can't switch the mapping to an easier set-up like the others. It handles great, the cockpit feel is slim & doesn't feel bulky, the weight is a few pounds heavier than the others but that doesn't matter to a Vet rider like me. Honestly unless you're racing competitively, this bike is just as good as the others, specially price wise. I purchased the full Titanium Yoshi RS-12 exhaust & it sounds mean. it kicks cold 2-3 times, 1 time warm & as long as you find TDC it kicks smooth. I recommend the bike overall. What they say about the suspension is true, it needs to be adjusted to suit you, it is stiff from the factory, but you can soften it up enough to make right for your riding style & conditions, I was able to after just a half a dozen rides.

Just grabbed a leftover 2022 RMZ450 a few weeks ago… absolutely love it!!!! Gotta ignore all the hate around them.. the bike was mostly redone in 2018 and I’d say it doesn’t really need changes. People complaining about it being the heaviest bike and least peak HP at higher RPM… they complain about the rear shock… I will say obviously if you are very serious into racing at higher levels, lol most of that stock stuff comes off or gets heavily modded anyways… I just laugh at people because this bike is capable of anything, it’s all on the setup and rider skill. HP isn’t a problem since many riders on 250f’s and even 125’s could spank much of the 450 riders on brand new KTM or Yamaha 450’s… Then you get guys whining about the weight, lol 😂 go race around a nearly 400lb atv on a motocross track and then hop on this bike… it will feel like a feather in comparison..
