This is stupid and too much work because they say that for every transaction, ask for receipts. Can you imagine how many receipts you will be having in a year? KRA, there should be a better way to approach this otherwise you will discourage or make it difficult for people to comply

You don't need to ask for receipts yourself. Unless you intend to use them for tax returns purposes, which you wouldn't think of as a burden. FYI, companies still use and keep physical receipts for their records
