A real friend keeps their word. Every circumstance is different. There are still people with integrity who struggle and still will work hard to pay back what they borrowed on time. There are still friends who will have your back come rain or snow. Just because they ask me for help does not mean that friends devalues our relationship. It just means they are human going through a down moment. The issue is not lending money, the issue is lending to the right person.

The worst part is after 3months asking about the money they owe, and they give you the "oh i forgot all about that"...subtracted very good friends because of that. And that point, i didnt bother and just walked away from that friendship. You feel guilty if you dont borrow money, you gotta say no, and that also can destroy that friendship, its a losing battle on both sides

I try to think objectively same way a bank would. I lend small amounts to see if they pay that back and how long they took. if they got a good history of paying me back i dont mind lending out more and even upping the amount. certain amounts ill never go over though

This is bad advice, I’ve borrowed Balani from friends before during difficult times where the rent was due. If I didn’t pay it in two days, I would get evicted shit like that and my real Homies came through for me and helped me out and I paid them as soon as I could.
