For HSC 2019? HSC 2018 is still the same syllabus, but yes, if you are in Year 11 2018, there are no past papers. This is why this strategy will help however as well, as you can focus on finding the most challenging questions per topic from your textbooks!

when I first start to do the older past papers I don't do them properly I just skip the easy questions or the questions that I am confident in and just do the ones that I don't feel comfortable answering. So then when i check the answer I remember how to answer the question if it comes up in an exam

SoWie is it difficult to get accepted for an early entry to a uni course before your hsc and in the application process do they look at your year 11 results .
@ArtofSmartTV
@ArtofSmartTV 5 жыл бұрын
They look usually only at your year 12 results, and most of the time your half-yearlies only!

Mq uni is the only one I know that checks year 11 results. That said, I applied for their GLEP program and still got in with even though I didn't do great in year 11.

How would you apply this if your weak point was time management? Instead of sitting the full test in timed conditions would you be doing questions in timed conditions based on how many minutes you have for each mark in the hsc exam?
@ArtofSmartTV
@ArtofSmartTV 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I'd be timing yourself working on each of these quesitons, with the time based on minutes per mark in the HSC exam!

Is writing out notes from each point of the syllabus repeatedly a good use of time for subjects like economics and business studies? Thanks
@ArtofSmartTV
@ArtofSmartTV 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, but not word for word, otherwise you will do it rote and go on autopilot. The Rule of 3 is a good guide for the # of times of repetitions and each time, focus on writing out key ideas, and creating diagrams, flowcharts, and acronyms to make it more active.
