i've heard "failing to plan is planning to fail" many times and technically it's true, but I never plan more than a few days ahead and idk if i should continue that for hsc. it worked quite well for trials. btw Rowan, a month before the hsc how many hours did you do per day and did you have any "chill" days? did you also work harder than the weeks leading up to trials?

What level of detail are you planning ahead? Too detailed definitely is counter productive, BUT honestly, unless you have a plan, you'll end up spending too much time on things that don't matter, and not enough on things that do. A good framework is to have study, buffer, and chill days in your week. Buffer days are were nothing is planned, but if you haven't hit your goals for that week, you then need to finish them. I was doing 6 hours or so a day (but then I didn't have to go to school because it was STUVAC)
