Very well put ou and honest. As immigrants we are so thirsty looking for Friends, relationships and stability that it's just so overwhelming sometimes. The only thing That helps is discipline ans routine and it takes motivation and courage. You sure have a lot Joshua ❤

Your professor,🤦🏿‍♂️Why would he do that, what is that student going to eat, being a student is expensive. Try to slow down, eat, sleep & drink water and plan, plan etc. I prioritize eating, sleeping and water. Without any of that I can't think.

I am thinking of coming France for phd when I will be 23-24. I am 17 (in 12th) right know I know I might be thinking of too far in future but yeah I searched out most of the countries and thought either it's France or Switzerland. What do you think about phd in France?

As amazing as organisation and knowledge management systems can be- they also streamline us in a way where we forget to just "be". Just being is a luxury now, mainly b/c of the capitalistic 9-5 culture. The culture everywhere makes people feel like they're missing out and not "achieving" what they should. The journey isn't prioritized anymore, the world, employers, and even potential matches just see "achievements". Human worth is being defined by a world where there is constant information overload. No wonder stress is making people unwell and there's a link with autoimmune diseases as well. A loved one tells me, that extra hour of work that is physically killing you is not worth your health. But then again, very few have that privilege and some have to sacrifice their well-being just to put food on the table. The "systems" we live in are not compatible for human beings. Also late 20s are not the end of the world, and if anything, I feel like most of my strength and physical fitness gains are in my 30s b/c I have a more stable idea of where my strengths and weaknesses lie. It's a great time to experiment and have fun learning where your bodily strengths lie. I do not follow trends but i focus on improving my existing strengths and working on my weaknesses. Lower body was alwats my strength but after a foot injury, i learned the value of investing in my upper body and training it to be better, not perfect- just better.

Hey man, do check out the 'getting to know yourself' playlist on my channel. That's a great place to start. I would : 1. Get to know myself - What are my strengths, what kind of work do I not enjoy? 2. Find out jobs that would satisfy that definition 3. Find the institutions who can take you there (MiM in France, work visa, ... ) Good luck man! Tell me how it goes

Man, I am in my extreme late 20s, moving to Paris this fall for my MSc, changing domains, very anxious about starting a new life in a new country with an absolutely different culture I'll have to adapt to and integrate with, and everything you said, each and every thing regarding the changes we go through in our late 20s, is so damn true, this video was like a reality check I needed man. I think I'll keep coming back to this video time and again man, thank you so much Josh! Hope to catch up with you in Paris someday.

Hey thanks for penning this down man. It’s going to be a challenging change, but you’re going to work through the right problems early on in your life as a foreigner here, as you don’t have the comfort of home. In time you will emerge proud of yourself and happy for having taken it head on🔥

Subscribed! I am in my 50s now so I have a few things to say too! I don’t have regular TV, but stick to films 2-3 times a week, sometimes but not always related to language learning. Also this idea that we need to be 24/7 productive is something we need to loose. In Italian “il dolce far niente” in Bosnia “ ćejf”.
