A lot of people in the comments just spewing someone else's opinion on this game. I like the developer and I appreciate they are taking a chance on a new formula. So I gladly paid $100 to support the studio. I hope they perfect the formula and make something big again like XCOM. Pertaining to this game. The medium for the new formula is perfect with the marvel cast. By all accounts this is already a top tier card game that doesn't have some of the common pitfalls. Add onto that the ability to improve your deck through a story and out of action dialogue. This is a gem. I'm giving it a chance.

I know its not a Trading card game but I wish this was pushed far more because my deck is pretty small and limited and I can strategize more on card plays and pulling cards from my deck. I also wish the tactical combat was more pushed where it makes sense if you hide behind an object you get coverage and protection. Also wish there wasnt so much movement in the game it seems very OP. But it is a pretty nice Marvel Game I have to admit except for the childish Dialogue. By far it is one of the best Marcvel Turn base Strategy game I have ever played. I don't even care too much of the story its pretty vague but the game mechanics are amazing, Just wanted more from it, it even suits multiplayer etc. A bigger map would entice me even more, to make movement more valuable in each turns. I gave it a 8/10 on steam so Im still pleased :)

I really want to like this game but it’s just the gameplay that throws me off. There was a cutscene I saw where you, cap, and Ironman were fighting in this epic battle against hydra while avengers tower was blowing up. It was badass! Until it zoomed out with everyone standing still and waiting to attack….slowly…..one at a time.

Bruh support this game, firaxis studios are god tier strategy game devs. I bought this game on Thursday n couldn't put it down, lost track of time type addiction. Seriously deep strategy and very difficult. With a very chill, slice of life like relationship, mode in between the battles. Great cards, addicting combat, I would really suggest u pay full price. Strictly off the fact that I want firaxis to make more games like this. Please buy it now, u won't be disappointed

A few of my friends on Steam also got the legendary edition. Love the lore when it comes to books you read or manuscripts you pick up thru the Abby, love the abby in general, love each and every single hero with Magik and captain marvel being my absolute favorates. And the combat, dear god the combat is so good 😊

Because both are made by Firaxis, and because both are tactical combat. The only difference is instead of cover and shot percentages, The randomness comes from which cards are drawn on the turn , and those abilities on those cards. Where your characters are on the map is important to some moves, enemy reinforcements come from the side of the screen out of nowhere, just like in X-com. You select your targets the exact same way you do in X-com.

This btw is in reference to mcu fans not comic fans cause the mindset is different. Regardless i know that the ttrpg gameplay loop will be the biggest point of contention and possible downfall of this game. Sure some people will be converted and become diehard fans of the genre if its a good ttrpg but the format has no chance to appeal to wider audiences.

I have to say, that Midnight Suns doesn't seem interesting to me, at least gameplay wise. It honestly feels like a mobile game with it being turn based and all the card abilities. Had such potential too with all the heroes it seems to be bringing in. Edit: I would just like to say that I have no issue with anyone enjoying this game. There's clearly people who enjoy the game since the days of its release. I'm simply saying that the game does not interest me and comparing it to the games that I am interested in, it reminds me of a mobile game. I don't wish to offend anyone who is interested or enjoys the game, I just simply wanted to state my opinion.

@@zoopie_doop8957 I wouldn't know about Fire Emblem, but XCOM I've played, well XCOM 2 and I have to say that it doesn't remind me of that. The reason why it reminds me of a mobile game is because of another Marvel mobile game, Strike Force I believe its called and its also turn based. It just feels kind of a waste if I'm honest, we've got characters like wolverine, blade, Scarlet Witch and even Ghost Rider, who either haven't been in any games before or haven't had a game about them in a while. Plus it seems to have a bit of a darker tone with such characters.

Saw it was a card game and was put off....I was wrong. After Avengers this game is killer. Card based to me now means saving my fingers and not memorizing crazy button mashes for possible combos. The dialogue is fantastic. The customization is good. I am glad I purchased the game. Only issue is the reading of the cards until you zoom them in. But I play on a 55tv and sit 6 to 8 ft away.

Tbh this makes me think of divinity. Just more tatical. You can move 1 characters around any where at any time until an attack. Your cards are literally your attacks you can choose from. Only thing is its random and limited attacks but better in ways especially story wise. But i only been playing an hr so far.

@@bombyo3634 if u check my relationship status with majik compared to everyone else, it like 2 levels higher than everyone because I'm tryna get my char some coochie, the relationship gameplay is quite basic, not gunna ignore the amount of time they did making a script for every char tho. But yea I see it being a harsh in between mass effect and like some random jrpg. Although I find the relationship builder side of the game pretty meh, the game is addicting as crap, Im still trying to make the ultimate decks n determining which heroes are DPS, tank, or support. So much fun and of course the gameplay and brain strain it causes on me now I'm playing on heroic 2 difficulty, another great game by firaxis studios!
